I am going through my clay tools today and realized that a few years back, I only have 3 tools on hand. Not that I did it intentionally, I just cannot afford additional ones.
Tonight, I wanted to challenge myself and see how much I can do with these 3 tools to create a calico cat.
Calico cat because:
- I screwed up on the previous post
- I wanted to redeem myself
- its something that I love to do
- I want to tag my friend @trincowski and show him that I attempted AGAIN!
First of all, these are my 3 tools- I am not counting the roller because in almost all the crafts I do, the roller is like a default. Even now that I have access to all the other tools out there, I often find myself defaulting to these guys over here.
One of the other things that I love about these is that, I can actually insert the 3 tools inside the roller- makes it easier for transpo. I wonder how it feels to be claying outdoors.......
I started by creating the body.
Then I attached some orange and black clay then I used my tools to create the "fur" effect.
Then I used another white clay to make the head.
Then I used my pen to create the eyes and the eye effects.
I attached the head to the body and I created the paws holding the head. Why the head- I dunno. I am also wondering why.
This is how it looks like.

Haven't worked with wax in ages, must be fun, also therapeutic planning something specific and trying again!
it is @joanstewart. When I do this- I am unwinding from my day job- it does not pay much but, it helps me relaxed!
I walk outdoors and photograph 🙂 talk to the dog!
