Cracked It

I thought it would be cool for you guys to know how to make a "cracked egg" charm.

The goal is to make an "egg" that looks like it had just been cracked.

I am using air dry clay for this craft.

I started by a single yellow clay.If its a polymer clay, you need to dry it up. If its an air dry clay, dry as per manufacturer's instructions before proceeding to the next part.

You can use acrylic resin. But I prefer to use UV resin because its easier and faster to cure. Also, I do not need to worry that while I leave it, the resin will not "flow" out of the yolk.

Even though the thing is small, I added the resin slowly- in stages until I am happy on how it looks.

Done. I intentionally left the air bubble to get as close as I can to the realistic thing.

For the eggs, I used 2 pieces of white clay.

Did this with my tool to make this and then, I waited for it to dry.

I added the final detail then I did the same thing I did with the other egg.

I got so creative that I ended up making more "cracked eggs."

You guys must be wondering how big these things are. This is the size compared to my black pen.
