That Kawaii face

Today is Midwives and Nurses day!

Its my day. But, I do not feel happy celebrating it. Probably because of all the things that I kept bottled up in the past few weeks.

I am even wondering now if I am on the right profession.

If anyone is asking why I branched into polymer clay and resin, its because I needed a positive outlet. I need to express my frustrations in life. As a nurse, I cannot just carelessly post anything on line no matter how vague they might be.

Making the pot.

To start with, I chose my clay.

I used my cookie cutter to have a perfect round shape. The black ones will be the "soil" while the whitish sort will be the bottom of the pot.

Making the flower

Get some round clay and make additional details. The back story on
this piece are bears who decided to get naughty, was caught half way and decided to act normal by seating calmly and cutely in the pots.

Assembly

To make the whole figurine I did this. Yes. the eyes are bigger than usual. The nose are also different. But, at the end, I just want to try on things and see how it goes.

Attach the petals one by one. The reason why I did not assemble them immediately was that, I want to make sure that they "adhere" with the rest of my character's head.

Here is how it looks at the top view. I added the ears and, I did a bit of a detail on the head/flower (added some ears and dots on the center of the flower)

Done.

I made 3 of them. I just got carried away. Just like any handmade items, they do not really look the same- well, because they are handmade.
