Opening a Business in Mexico ~ #barrestaurant

in #business3 years ago

I swear I haven't been purposely slacking in my content creation. It's been over a week since my last post here, and over 3 weeks since my last YT video. But in between my week in bed with Giardia and the amount of work I've put in to get this restaurant/bar going, I haven't had much time for anything else really.

But I wanted to at least let y'all get a quick glimpse of the space I have and my vision. Hopefully by the next video I'll have coolers stocked full of delicious cold beer and I'll be pumping out some delicious food to happy customer.

I know I probably won't get many people that would do it, but I would love to accept crypto (btc, ltc, hive, etc) as payment. If you know how I could set that up, let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading & watching.

Hive on y'all!

@intothewild very exciting times! Looks like a great beginning in a good location. Living the dream! It would indeed be awesome to be able to accept crypto for payment. I hope that works out for you. And hopefully you'll find a bartender before the fun of doing yourself wears off, lol. I'll be up to play some corn hole when you get that going!

Hey, thanks so much! I'll be living the dream when all the work is done and all I have to do is crack beers open! Lol.

You like to play some corn hole, eh? I tell ya what!, you come and play me and win, and I'll buy your tab 😜

Make it happen!

@intothewild You know that's not so far-fetched, we've been to Mexico a couple of times. But you sound awful confident there lol, I'm just an amateur. Exactly where are you located?

I'm pretty confident in my corn hole game, but I'll need to knock the rust off, it's been a while!

We are just north of Puerto Vallarta, in Bucerias. Lmk if ya plan on making it down, first beer is on me regardless.

That's freaking awesome man! The stairs look really good! Good luck with the busy season ahead!

Thanks dude! The stairs turned out really well! It's crazy what some paint can do to a place.

I appreciate the well wishes! I'm hoping the same!

cheers buddy!

So happy for you, things are looking good down there . The stair case is awesome. Is there rooftop seating?

Are you close to the water? I will keep my eye on you as you continue this amazing journey.
Good luck 👍 🍀

There is a "roof top" area, don't know why I didn't take a walk up there on my last vid, but I'll be sure to next time, It's more of just a second level than a roof top, seeing as it does indeed have a roof, lol. I think for the time being, I'm gonna make it kind of like a game room....corn hole boards, maybe a couch and just standing room only kinda deal, but we'll see.

I am close to the water, facing the ocean, but the first block off of it. There wasn't anything available on the water, otherwise (depending on rent cost) would have def considered it. But I'm on a very popular road that has hundreds, if not thousands, of people going down it every day in the high season.

As always, thanks for keeping an eye on me momma!

Oh yes go with the game room idea, I like it. This sounds like the perfect location for you. Oh man, I am excited for you.
Hugs to the family.

I love the place and it's not even finished yet. While you were walking around giving us all a sneak preview I noticed the bar top, just beautiful. I mill a lot of pieces of wood like the one you have for the bar top. Live edge slabs are in vogue and when they are finished they add so much warmth to the setting. The combination of all of the black metal and wood throughout the place looks great.

Good luck with it all, and I hope you open soon and can take advantage of the busy season.

With as personable as you are, being the bartender would have the patrons hanging out spending more $$$, just waiting for your next funny oneliner.

You're really doing it.
Now, who"s the BADASS?

Dude, that bar top is sick. It's called Parota wood. It's commonly used becuase of the colors and cool wood swirl variations, not to mention it's immune to bugs which is probably the best thing about it. Just wait until you see my other "side bar" I had custom made out of the same kind of wood.....and then wait for the Brazilian wood that will outline my service window....it. looks. amaaaaaaazzzzingggg.

lol, maybe so! Just hope I can keep my energy up all day to keep them entertained and satisfied :)

Ok, ok, ok.....nope, you're still the bad ass 😜

The finished product will be awesome.

You've got more energy than most, the excitement alone will keep you running like the Energizer bunny.

Well done on your business venture man. It looks like you've been a busy boy. I know the feeling. I've recently relocated from the East coast to the West coast of Ireland.

So for the bar, will you serve IPA or just standard beers like Bud, Heineken etc?

Yeah man, muy ocupado. Why did you switch coasts? out of curiosity...

I love me some IPA's but they just don't make em the same here as in the states. They lack hops and that mouthfeel that a good IPA gives ya. So as of now, Corona, Corona Light, Pacifico, Modelo Especial, Budweiser, and Coors Light. See what sells and what doesn't and go from there. I wouldn't mind bringing in some IPA's down the road, but I'm going by the KISS method, I can always add on later.

Well I'm from Galway so we always planned on moving back West eventually and with three kids, it will be a great quality of life for them. It's so nice to be back West after nearly 20 years away.

I hear you on the IPAs. I love them too and the hoppier, the better, but I've visited a few countries where their local IPAs were positively average, so I sew why you might stick to "Corona, Corona Light, Pacifico, Modelo Especial, Budweiser, and Coors Light"

As I say, best of luck with it.

Where on the West Coast of Ireland did you land? I love the Dingle area!

Yes, Dingle is a gem of a town. We moved to Galway, my hometown.

That is awesome. Best of luck with that! I have to be honest though, when I first read the title I thought you were opening a Yoga restaurant. https://www.purebarre.com/

Thanks man! Lol, I didn't even notice that, hahaha. I might rent out the top floor to yogis or anyone who needs a space like that early in the morning when I'm not open for business. Then when they're done and I'm open, they can buck the health wagon and have a beer and big fat burger 😜

Haha, that sounds like a great plan!

Congratulations dude. I'm impressed more than THIS.

Much love man, appreciate all the info and advice you've given me. Hope to knock your socks off when it all said and done.

Congratulations for you business, all the best. Amazing job bro :)

Thanks so much!

Maybe you should stick to drinking bottled water. It might be too expensive though.

I think you should create a great tasting wood fired pizza. News of it could spread by word of mouth
and get you a lot of tourist customers.

lol, I do stick to bottled water, def not drinking tap water. I think it may have been from the pool, tbh, but who knows?

Pizzas, while a great idea, aren't going to be my specialty, at least at this moment in time. I don't have the space for a pizza oven, and I'm choosing to focus on burgers and wings. Not to mention there is a pretty good pizza joint up the street.

But thanks for your input, much appreciated.

The place is looking great. Congrats on going for it!

Thanks much man! It's been a lot of work, and there is still a lot left to do. Hopefully it all comes together sooner rather than later.
