California is what happens when nut case liberalism is taken to the extreme.

That's shit. Me and a friend are on a US roadtrip and have spent the last week in California. Leaving SF yesterday for an estimated 10 hour drive to LA with Pacific Highway 1, we suddenly had another thing to worry about :P. Thankfully didn't notice any changes (except perhaps less traffic out of SF due to less people heading to work)

For many people it has to be a bit more than an inconvenience. I can't not even imagine how much productivity and earnings are being impacted in the area.

That sucks man, I lose my mind when I lose electricity.

Humans are so dependent :D

"Try" being the key word :)

Oh wow! That is way too long to be without electricity, how awful. I hope you get it back soon!

It’s not just an inconvenience - it’s also a safety issue. If there is a real emergency and phones don’t work, how do you alert people or call for help? People on special medical equipment are also at risk. If power is out long enough, frozen food thaws and spoils, so now you have tons of rotten food to deal with. How do you cook if you have electric appliances in an apartment? It’s one thing if it’s a natural disaster and they bring in supplies and aid. But who helps when it’s a political foul up?

Apparently the hospitals did not experience this ordeal in the same way as the rest of us.
