Cancer Update
Aug 17, 2020 we got the news that a painful lump on my husband's shoulder was Cancer and over the next 3 weeks the news kept getting worse. Yes it had spread and yes it is in his brain.
We did a lot of research and reading and decided to implement an integrated approach of standard western chemo/immunitherapy and also a well studied and supported Metabolic Approach.

Having just completed 10 radiation treatments and 12 weeks of Chemo, we just got our first results on how things are going.
His 1st Pet Scan since treatment.
His pet scans showed huge improvement much of the lymph node system is now clear. The few spots still showing were dim. The Oncologist seemed genuinely pleased and he's not much for emotion. 😉
Since Joe was having trouble keeping his platelets up during Chemo, he is going to switch to immunotherapy for 6-12 weeks with careful monitoring to ensure we continue in the right direction. I'm really hoping this allows for some strength and appetite to come back.
We are working on an Integrated approach which means diet, supplements, and off-label drugs may help as well.
We are still waiting on scheduling the MRI to look at his brain. Reduced staffing and Covid issues have things working at a very slow pace.
While we don't know what the future holds this is good news right now and we will take it!
The immunotherapy is injected once every 3 weeks instead of weekly and the side effects are much easier to deal with.
He needs some strength, recovery, and food to rebuild a bit and continue to support his body in fighting cancer.

Pretty messed up; the solution is to ingest a bunch of poison and hope it kills the cancer and not you. It's even more messed up because at this point why don't we just have nano-robots that can go in there and destroy all the cancer while leaving all the healthy cells alone? I guess it has to be a military tech before one that helps the people. Hurray for capitalism.
I hope this works out for you two. The human body is pretty resilient, so all you can do is continue with the Western barbarian method in conjunction with diet/exercise/positive-attitude.
It really sucked to watch them pump him full of the chemo, but even our natural path thought we should do it to buy time.
It worked to beat back the cancer a bit, so he can eat again and build his strength back.
It was a horrible set of options, but we picked the best path we could find.
Ever try feeding someone who is skinny, sick and has no appetite back to health?
Now hopefully we have time to keep up the battle using healthy options
Whats a road to take, but whatever and i hope it works, and that the covid slows all the hospital appointments down is so bad. I wish you strenght and please stay safe
