Warsaw Poland, Zoo is scientifically testing the effects of hemp oil on their Elephants to see it can reduce their stress since the death of one of the Elephant's Erna, this has caused hierarchy trouble with eating habits and other behaviors between two of the female elephants with one showing higher levels of stress.
Dr. Agnieszka Czujkowska, a zoo veterinarian on the video speaks about the project that they would never apply anything dangerous to animals, that their Elephants will not be on high though out this project stating Hemp oil is not a drug.
The Elephants will be getting oils that will calm them down a little bit, it is also used in painful situations in animals.
We would never apply anything dangerous to animals.
Once again our Elephants will not be on high though out this project
They will be getting oils that will calm them down a little bit, Stress is everywhere we don't know what is going to happen in the future.
One of the Elephants may get pregnant, there may be some kind of injury, they may break a tusk, it happens, they may get sick for no reason, we want to have something that will let them go smoothly through this period, as hemp oil is also used in painful situations in animals.
Hemp has anti-inflammatory properties, so it will be working in different ways, but it will not give them any high.
There have been samples such as blood, saliva, and other samples from the Warsaw Zoo's Elephants to prepare the tests whether giving them hemp oil can help reduce their stress.
It will be interesting to follow these results to see how hemp oil can help within Elephants, and if it can do the similar results within other animals.
Do you have a use for hemp?
Until next time ...
