Here are the results of the RM Sotheby's Paris Sale that took place online on just before Valentine's Day. The one-day auction totaled more than € 9,400,000 but no craziness, the estimated prices have been respected and many cars are still on sale.

A first preview with the 4 cars presented during the last weeks on Hive :

In 1966, the Miura P400 was the first supercar by Lamborghini and maybe the first of the world. It was an instant success with its unique look and especially with the placement of its engine, mounted just behind the passenger compartment. The SV version presented in 1971 was produced in only 150 examples. Pure beauty...

The second highest price was also a rare car as it's unique prototype, 1993 Isdera Commendatore 112i, sold for € 1,113,125 :

Everything you want to know (and more 😀) about the car and the history of Isdera and its founder Eberhard Schulz on my post.

Another Lamborghini penned by Bertone and originally owned by Rod Stewart on the podium with this 1977 Lamborghini Countach LP400 Periscopio sold only for € 775,625 (I used only because the price is under One Million, I don't know if I can 😀)

Beautiful car penned by Marcello Gandini, Italian car designer working for Bertone. LP400 (LP standing for Longitudinale Posteriore) was known as the Periscopica because of its central periscope for rear-view.

Jamais 2 sans 3 - never 2 without 3 - I don't know if the expression exists in English but another great Lamborghini found a buyer, 1967 Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 with a coachwork by Touring was sold for € 477,500. I love the color, Verde Scuro with a Senape leather interior 👍

400.jpg

I love the story behind Lamborghini, an argument between Enzo Ferrari and Ferruccio Lamborghini. complaining about the reliability of his Ferrari still broke down, Enzo replied : "You can drive a tractor, but you can't drive a Ferrari". And few years later... What an answer!

To finish with this sale, the madness which took away some bidders for a toy, a true toy... 10 times the estimated price for this Ferrari 330 P2 Junior sold for € 120,000.

This Beautiful miniature of Ferrari’s 330 P2 was done by La Chapelle, French company making a variety of replica cars, especially Bugatti. This Ferrari is equipped with 5.0 hp Honda engine. It must be fun to drive, when you're a kid (even an adult).

Would you have bought it for your child? Or for yourself ?

Hey homie I mostly know you from the urban advertising side of things but do you take all of these photos of these cars you post or what's the deal?

Nope it's not my photos... But I love cars, especially the design in the 50's, 60's, 70's. So I follow a bit the car auctions for old models with different coachworks.
