Cats and Behavioural Scratching I

in #cats5 years ago

Cat growth is something to be observed and nurtured from the day an owner brings a new kitten into the household. Kittens experience rapid growth from birth and each and every stage is essential to monitor and provide assistance where necessary. Supplementing growth and structuring behavioural development is a difficult task without understanding the reasoning behind certain actions.

As a kitten matures and develops various traits, new behavioural patterns will emerge that will require attention and perhaps some intervention to protect both cat, cohabitants and general items around the house. This extends to many things around the living area including eating, sleeping, defecating and other daily matters. One common trait of any cat is the development of claws and their ability to scratch. Claws serve a very distinct purpose in cats and it’s important to train and monitor the use of clawing.
