Good morning Hive friends. Once again I join the contest of the friend @gertu, this is my entry and I hope you like it
The streets tell stories, but only for those who see beyond what is in plain sight. I can't imagine how many things have seen the streets where we walk every day happen, everything that has happened in them, all the people who have passed by there or the years they have been enduring sun, rain, etc.
These photos represent the journey we took yesterday to San Juan Bautista, the town where my husband was born and where I studied. Here we met, I used to ride my bike through these streets and now I see how beautiful they are
Most of the trees you find around these streets are oaks. Oak trees that must be a few years old, my parents say that they have been there for as long as they can remember.
These days it has started to rain, on Margarita Island we live through huge dry seasons, in addition to the innumerable problems we have with water. But that is another story. The day was cloudy and you see blooming trees
When you get to the center of town you find a beautiful square where the Church of San Juan Bautista is located. It is an area where you find houses with that colonial touch that makes it more special. Here we can find the tree that represents the flora of our state because you can find it anywhere.
It is my favorite, you will always see it gleaming green at any time of the year, in addition, they are very decorative (its roots do not protrude they always go down so it does not damage walls or floors). Its flowers are starry and in a blue tone, its yellow fruits and its red seeds, just like the colors of our flag. It is common in these drought areas and although it seems incredible, it grows almost anywhere without much effort
At this point of the road you can find a place where people stop to take photos, although I did not. It is an extensive area where you find a kind of oak forest that offers a unique shade to the entire path. As you walk through it you perceive as if you were entering a lost forest, you have the feeling that the trees are breaking through to let you cross the road
This was the walk through my streets on Sunday, a ride that I did in a car but it was fun to photograph and now tell you part of my personal life in this contest
