Good morning Friends and Friends of Hive, I want to offer you a photographic series of the saints and virgins who venerate in the festive calendar of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, where throughout the year each population has its own traditions framed in Christmas, in the June cycle and on some other scattered date. In this series I highlight the Zaragoza festival, where every December 28 the divine Child is venerated in the town of La Miel in Lara state; also in Sanare on May 15 they honor San Isidro Labrador; We find in the Yaracuy state the feast of San Juan; San Agatón in the town of Sanare; San Antonio de Padua at the Tamunangue or Sones de Negros festival throughout the Lara state; On December 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31, they celebrate San Benito de Palermo with its Vassals and Giros in the state of Mérida and in the state of Zulia with the celebration of the Chimbangueles; also in the state Lara and Yaracuy celebrate San Pascual Bailón on May 17; on January 4 in the state of Lara with drums and bands they celebrate Santa Bárbara; In the state of Miranda on June 24 they dance and sing to San Juan Bautista and finally for this series I end with two photos of the Virgen de la Candelaria, a celebration of the state of Mérida to culminate the Christmas cycle.
All the photographs are completely my own, taken at the on-site parties, in different parts of the country with Olympus FE330, X845, C550, SONY DSC-H70 and SONY DSC-WX350 digital cameras and treated with Adobe Photoshop with HDR treatment
