Now I want to talk about the one hit wonders in music. Artists or bands that only managed to "hit" a song and hence their musical career became only that song. Some have that well deserved, since their "one hit wonder" was the best they had, and besides that, the only good thing they could do (like Ice baby); but there are other artists who simply deserve to be more than a one hit wonder, since they have talent and are incredible, but unfortunately a simple song knocked down their career so that they were remembered as “the type of the song of…”. Now, I come to show you two artists who are a one hit wonder, but they don't deserve to be:
Ahora quiero hablar de los one hit wonders en la música. Artistas o bandas que solo lograron “pegar” una canción y de ahí su carrera musical se convirtió solo en esa canción. Algunos tienen eso bien merecido, ya que su “one hit wonder” fue lo mejor que tuvieron, y además de eso, lo único bueno que pudieron hacer (véase Ice baby); pero hay otros artistas que simplemente merecen ser más que un one hit wonder, ya que tienen talento y son increíbles, pero desgraciadamente una simple canción tumbó su carrera para que fuesen recordados como “el tipo de la canción de…”. Ahora, vengo a mostrarles dos artistas que son un one hit wonder, pero no merecen serlo:
-Amine: Amine is a rapper with a lot of culture. His One Hit Wonder is Caroline, and to tell the truth, if it is far above all her other songs (only if you talk about views on youtube). When we talk about Amine's musical career, it seems to me that her albums are great and her videos too, since it shows that he has fun making them. Amine also made a song for Spiderverse, which makes me happy because it means that little by little they are taking it into account for great things.
-Amine: Amine es un rapero con mucha cultura. Su One Hit Wonder es Caroline, y a decir verdad, si está muy por encima de todas sus otras canciones (solo si se habla de views en youtube). Cuando hablamos de la carrera musical de Amine, me parece que sus álbumes son grandiosos y sus videos también, ya que se nota que se divierte haciéndolos. Amine también hizo una canción para Spiderverse, lo cual me alegra porque significa que poco a poco lo están teniendo más en cuenta para grandes cosas.
-Gotye: maybe one of the one hit wonder that hurts me the most, since everyone knows somebody that I used to know, but nobody knows Gotye, and you have to understand that his voice is beautiful, like all his musical career. Unlike Amine, who I recommend only to people who like rap, Gotye is an artist that can be heard by anyone, with a melodious voice and very rewarding rhythms.
-Gotye: tal vez uno de los one hit wonder que más me duele, ya que todo el mundo conoce somebody that I used to know, pero nadie conoce a Gotye, y hay que entender que su voz es preciosa, al igual que toda su carrera musical. A diferencia de Amine, que lo recomiendo solo a personas a las que les guste el rap, Gotye es un artista que puede ser escuchado por cualquier persona, con una voz melodiosa y unos ritmos muy gratificantes.
