The moving picture as it is known has always had the human mind look at it with fascination and wonder. Older generations might remember the Bioscope and how people used to take it to villages where people would peek through a curtained peephole and see pictures of monuments and animals and so on.
Later there were straw sheds where movies were 'shown' to audiences and I have heard my dad talking about how they paid ten paise to go and watch the movies of Charlie Chaplin.
Later on, there came the classic movie theaters where there were separate classes based on the fare. The balcony was meant for the high fare and the box was limited to maybe twenty seats and situated high up and away from the rest of the audience but this was mostly for private parties, most probably.
The lower fare audiences used to consist of people who were allowed to make noise and be unruly and so families did not frequent it except when the movie was exceptionally good and there were little or no seats available.
I have had experience sitting in all three classes. I never wanted to miss English classics and so sometimes I have seen movies sitting in the second row which honestly speaking was a strain to both the eyes and the ears. I never repeated it again. Thankfully, now we can choose the seats but with the covid raging high, theaters are now a No-No.
The last movie I saw was the Fantastic beasts - the second part.
I had so looked forward to seeing the Pirates of the Caribbean and the last part of the fantastic beasts but I am not sure if it is going to happen.
Amazon prime is ok and it is kind of helpful but it is not much fun watching a whole movie on the mobile screen. I do hope to buy a firestick sometime in the future.
Back to the movie theaters in our city, a lot of those were closed and multiplexes opened up in malls where it was easier for people to book tickets and watch movies rather than standing in long queues and hating the whole experience.
Times have changed and conveniences increased but it was a lovely family outing in those days when we used to go to the movies together.

Charlie Chaplin was a genius! I love most of his movies.
Yes, it's really good and I hope the children today can understand it.
In my opinion, we had the best experience from the Black&White, to Eastman color, to the computer generated movies of today. I wonder if the kids from the 2010s will ever watch any classics which are low tech in nature.
I suggest you go for the firestick.

The children may not be able to understand such times. maybe they should create a virtual reality tour or sth like that to let them experience those days, lol. I sure hope to buy that fire stick.
