'Maria Einsiedel' eine kleine gotische Kirche im anliegenden Waldgelände, ein Wallfahrtsort des Bistums Mainz.
Umgeben ist die Kapelle von vielen schönen Bäumen. Im Außenbereich befindet sich eine Altaranlage für Andachten im Freien.
'Maria Einsiedel' a small Gothic church in the adjacent forest area, a place of pilgrimage for the diocese of Mainz. The chapel is surrounded by many beautiful trees. Outside there is an altar for devotions outside.
Erste Erwähnung fand die Wallfahrtsstätte 1493 in einem Ablassbrief, ausgestellt in Rom. Der besagt, dass die baufällige Kapelle durch Ablassspenden wieder hergestellt werden sollte. Da die Kapelle damals schon baufällig war, ist so noch viel viel älter. Wie alt genau, ist leider nicht bekannt.
The pilgrimage site was first mentioned in 1493 in a letter of indulgence, issued in Rome. This says that the dilapidated chapel should be restored by donations. Since the chapel was already dilapidated, it is much older. How old exactly is unfortunately not known.

das ist doch, ich sag immer hinten raus, aus Gonsenheim Richtung Ingelheim kurz vor dem Abzweig Budenheim im Wald oder irre ich mich jetzt?
