Tonight…Is the night! I’m like a kid in a candy store every time I go see a new MCU movie, and Multiverse of Madness is no different. I’ve been trying like hell to avoid the spoilers that have been floating around for the past few days…almost got through it too, but a big element was sadly ruined for me this morning….and I fucking hate spoilers. Don’t worry, as I won’t be that guy…but let’s just say…sweet.
Anyhoo…the wife and I have tickets to check it out in about 2 1/2 hours from now, and I’m ready to see what madness Doctor Stephen Strange has in store for us this time. This is Sam Raimi’s first MCU film as well, and I’ve always been a fan of his from his Evil Dead days. The possibilities of where this leads us has me on the edge of my seat, but before we head out…I wanted to share something with you guys in honor of the man of the hour.
I figured now’s as good a time as any to show off my copy of Strange Tales #110!!!
This book came out waaaaaay back in April of 1963. He was created by Stan Lee & Steve Ditko who provided the story & art for this very short story. Five whole Strange pages in this issue. That’s it! There are a few other short stories in here as well but this is the biggie that makes it a highly coveted “Blue Chip” book that should be in any hardcore collector/investor’s portfolio.
My copy is a lower grade copy, but still in really nice shape. It presents well and in all honesty, will eventually benefit from a press that I’ll eventually get to. I have a gazillion books in my personal collection that I’ll eventually press and get graded….or I’ll die first. Probably the latter.
I personally secured this copy in a large collection that I bought off a buddy way back when, and I’m not even kidding when I say the actual cost was probably less than a buck once broken down on a per book basis. But now???
You can see the range of recent sales of this book. Once again, mine is definitely a lower to low/mid grade copy, but I’m over the moon with that as those still range anywhere for $3k-$6k currently! Not that I’m selling mine at all…away it goes into the vault…or, uh…on top of the pile…
Ok…I got to get ready as I have a flicker show to watch…man oh man, To think of how far these funny books have come…

The movie was a woke fest.
Hell yeah, Raimi! I hope he's not gone the way of the dark side? as @akumagi states...Evil Dead II forever...
You're not like a kid in a comic store?!?
Raimi is so good... I think he might be one of my favourite directors after Taika Waititi.
I hope you have a great time! I haven't seen anything in the MCU after Endgame... but at some point I'll jump back in. So tricky with the streaming and different companies, etc...
