Margaret and Hazel pull themselves out of the hole in the church, seemingly as if nothing has happened - but that could not be farther from the truth! Our two leading ladies are vaguely aware of a sense of deja vu and physical discomfort (Hazel holds her neck, feeling a ghost pain from breaking it a mere seconds earlier).
But perhaps more significantly we now find ourselves in a world where Dorothy has never existed. She has been ripped from existence, consumed entirely, and I imagine her family is not going to be delighted to hear that that has happened,
We also gotta acknowledge that Margaret and Hazel have successfully (albeit ignorantly) liberated the Book of Seams from its prison in the basement of The Church of Flickering Ascension - something that our main baddie, Rupert Saxton, was clearly trying to avoid.
