Poor Bugger

Christmas Day full of energy playing with his toy car.

My grandson has been unwell this week with the normal over the counter medicine not making any head way. Last resort is to go near the doctors rooms as they are flooded at the moment with 2 hour waits.

Our normal GP has pulled a dumbass move by closing down until this is all over as she can obviously afford to do that. I didn't think it was a bright move as most of her patients will no doubt find another doctor in the mean time losing her everyone who was loyal to her over the years.

My grandson had to have a Covid test which everyone seems to get automatically these days and wish you had shares in the laboratories that undertake this quick, but expensive task. holding his arms and neck whilst sticking a long type ear bud up his nose is not exactly a pleasant thing to see or hear as he screamed the place down.

What was funny though this morning was the computer was down and no manual reports were available. One patient flying to Portugal on Monday is having to come back tomorrow to redo his screening test as his would have been null and void for his travelling forms. They have to be submitted the same day as the test results for clearance and he has to redo his free of charge I might add.

We are waiting patiently hoping the phone doesn't ring like last time saying we have to isolate yet again. 5 days now only so it beats the automatic 10 days we endured before. Normally if you are positive you know the following morning bright and early as they let you know. We had been so careful up to this point as it wasn't us who we were protecting but him. He isn't well and there is nothing worse really as there is not much you can do, but hope it is something stupid like flu.

Personally I believe we are just reinfecting everyone over and over again and if you are weak you will be taken out a little worse. Two members in the house are not happy as my wife is still receiving physiotherapy and pending an eye operation from the last time covid visited.

Obviously I am hoping it isn't the dreaded thing, but we just don't know and will wait and see. He has literally stolen my heart and there is nothing I wouldn't do for him. Crap start to another boring weekend as we are all still trapped really even though lock down is over yet it isn't really if that makes sense. Wearing a mask is just not normal and fun and only freaks like Michael Jackson made them fashionable making us all part of a freak show today.
