CBS News Caught Out Showing Hectic Italian Hospital As If It is In NYC. Meanwhile NY Hospitals are Empty?

in #covid194 years ago (edited)

CBS News has admitted to a 'mistake' after being 'found' to have shown scenes from a hectic Italian hospital and trying to pass them off as coming from New York. Simultaneously, video emerges of a totally empty hospital in New York.

Perception manipulation is all around!

I hate Fox.

CBS made the mistake and Fox just reported on the error. I would update the title as Fox had nothing to do with the initial error.

Thanks, yes, already updated.. I was half asleep when I made the post ;)

Been there more times than I can count. Point still stands that we can't trust MSM to report correctly anymore.

;) - well, if it's any consolation I have never trusted them. lol. Edward Bernays 'the father of modern marketing', in his book 'propaganda' exposes the roots of how a lot of this got started.. (He thought it was a good idea). His basic tactic was to create a mindset in the public covertly that would then lead them on to buying his client's products - rather than advertising to them directly.

Just found a copy online and will have to add to my quarantine collection. Thank you for the recommendation.

I'm not disputing their lack of coverage on other topics or even misreporting on other subjects. I am just pointing out that in this instance they were not the ones to make a mistake.

The media desire to stir up a frenzy is maddening. People are worried enough with the reality of the situation, no reason to dress it up. Will CBS do an apology? What reasoning could they possibly have for doing this. This isn't a mistake, I think they knew what they were doing.
