This is probably one of the most important questions we need to be asking, right now. Do we actually need a vaccine for COVID-19?
Getting straight to the point, the answer is no; we do not and here is why.
How Dangerous is SARS-CoV-2?
This is the first question we need to answer in order to establish if a vaccine is the best way to end the pandemic. (if indeed there really is one?)
SARS-CoV-2 effects a specific minority group of the population, there are exceptions to this rule, but they are rare. The vast majority of deaths from COVID-19 are in elderly people with underlying health conditions.

Further investigations into Italys deaths from COVID-19 found that 59.9% of this 99% had at least 3 pre-existing health conditions[2].
Italy wasn't alone though, every country has found that the majority of those who die from this virus, were already at high risk from death from a number of other existing health conditions.
In the UK data collected between March and June shows that from the 46,000 deaths, 37,061 had at least one pre-existing health condition. That's a little over 80% of all deaths[3].
Interestingly, the Office of National Statistics stopped collected the data in July through to November because:
...due to the decrease in the number of COVID-19 related deaths. Therefore, we are unable to provide you with COVID deaths with no underlying for July to November 2020 - ONS[3]
In the US, the CDC data shows that 94% of all COVID-19 Deaths had at least one existing health condition mentioned on the death certificate:
For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.9 additional conditions or causes per death. - CDC[4]
We can also see from the CDC data that over 80% of that died were over the age of 65, with the significant proportion of these being over the age of 75.
Are Children at Risk?
Children have a very small risk of dying from COVID-19, in the US there have been just 34 deaths associated with the disease since the pandemic began. This is from a population of 3,783,052 under 1-year-olds. That's a 0.00087% risk factor for under ones based on population.
The combined risk from all ages under 25 is 0.00059% based on population.
Of course a true risk factor would require the data of exactly how many children of each age group have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, unfortunately no such data exists.
There is however, data collected from PCR positive tests, but because of the high level of inaccuracy of these tests, coupled with the fact that PCR-test results on some younger age groups is limited, it seems a little pointless using this data at all.
Regardless, it's clear from the CDC data collected in the US that children have very little risk of death from the virus.
Vaccine - Risk and Benefit
So we have established the majority of people at risk from death from COVID-19 are those over the age of 75, specifically those with one or more underlying health conditions.
The risk to everyone underneath this age bracket, particularly if you are healthy, is statistically insignificant. And yet Bill Gates said we need to vaccinate 7 Billion people to end this pandemic?
In fact, he's not the only one to state that the only way out of this pandemic is by way of a vaccine.
Dr. Anthony Fauci stated back in November:
“Certainly it’s not going to be a pandemic for a lot longer because I believe the vaccines are going to turn that around,” - New York Post[5]
Vaccination as I'm sure you are already aware has begun, starting with the most vulnerable first. This of course includes the elderly.
With several million vaccines already administered, we have already begun to see issues arise.
Norway has expressed increasing concern about the safety of the Pfizer Inc.vaccine on elderly people with serious underlying health conditions after raising their estimate of the number who died after receiving inoculations to 29. – Bloomberg[6]
Though apparently health officials in Norway are not concerned about the deaths stating:
Clearly Covid is far more dangerous to most patients than vaccination. We are not alarmed - Metro[7]
Then in Israel an 88-year-old man died just hours following his COVID19 vaccine:
An 88-year-old Israeli died just hours after receiving the coronavirus vaccine on Tuesday, a day after a 75-year-old Israeli died due to a heart attack also shortly after receiving the vaccine. - The Jerusalem Post[8]
These are by no means isolated cases, there have been many deaths already and thousands of serious adverse side effects.
There are various video's now popping up online of alleged injuries caused by the new COVID-19 vaccines, none have been verified or confirmed a being directly connected to the vaccine - however, we would be extremely irresponsible to disregard them.

The vaccine has been rushed through every stage of the process, from its trials through to mass production.
I think ultimately it is down to the individual to decide whether the benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks, only you can decide. But be aware, your government and their media mouthpieces will not give you both sides to the story. They will tell you simply that it is safe and effective, they will tell you anti-vaxxers are spreading misinformation, they will talk as if there is no valid reason to not take the vaccine.
But there is another side to this vaccine and there is many reasons why you should think very carefull before blindly taking it.
I urge everyone to share this article, share other valid concerns surrounding the new COVID-19 vaccines. Talk about it with your friends and family, ask yourself, do you really need a vaccine, is the risk of COVID really that great for you?
