The fiction of @itsjunevelasquez
Carol es la historia de una niña huérfana, audaz y caprichosa que heredó una fortuna después de la muerte de sus padres. Como toda niña rica, le sobraba espacio para jugar y como toda niña, le temía a la oscuridad y en particular a una muñeca de cerámica que no tenía ojos, por eso, cuando la tropezaba se le dificultaba dormir y hasta llegaba a imaginarla en lugares imposibles para una muñeca. Es una historia corta, bien escrita, que utiliza el recurso del juego para distraernos y sorprendernos con el final. La niña monta en su caballo, dispuesta a vencer a la muñeca, pero cae y sus ojos desorbitados y sin luz, ceden, para empezar a ser parte de los ojos de la muñeca; un final con una mezcla muy bien lograda entre la realidad y lo fantástico.
The reflection of @nineclaws
In The Droplet, @nineclaws asks, "Why? Why do you hate people?" The reflection begins with a poem that shows us, with fragmented phrasing that surrounds the emotion and experience to convey the energy of it, the speaker shutting down, closing off, pulling inward to yearn for groundedness and to "Open to infinite light." Nine goes on with prose to explore why we hate other people and to discuss how (she?) "stopped hating people" and "grew to love them with abandon and without exception." On the whole the post is an elegantly rendered discourse. The five beautiful water droplet photos, to me, reinforce the theme of agonized, "armored" individuality, agony which arises when we wall ourselves off from the inherent union of humanity.
The drawing of @extractum-lunae
Sin duda alguno mi favorito de la semana es esta ilustraciones que utilizo una referencia de Björk. @extractum-lunae's ilustración es excelente con un estilo de dibujo japonés, como la obra "la gran ola de Kanagawa" con un uso detallista de las líneas que se nota más en las ondulaciones del cabello y los pétalos de las flores. Tiene una paleta de colores muy sobria, unos tonos bastantes apagados pero resaltan el rostro y mirada del personaje. Muy original.
The guitar of @lk666
Para hive open mic @lk666 comparte con nosotros la canción "Make For The Shadow" un trabajo original, en compañía de su guitarra acústica, @lk666 utiliza un capo traste en la cuarta posición para facilitar la tonalidad con el color de su voz, uno de los puntos fuertes es la interpretación del solo de guitarra a partir del minuto 6:10 logrado a partir de la técnica de looping, grabando la secuencia de acordes y con ayuda de un pedal se obtiene un sonido diferente para la segunda guitarra. Muy interesante participación.
The historical tourism of @wadera
O historii - inaczej is a nice blend of history and personal experience. The author takes us to the town of Wizna, Poland, where she visits the historical murals that commemorate the Battle of Wizna in World War II. The post includes nine crisp photos of the murals and a comprehensive overview of the history. It is a good read, even for those of us who have to translate it from Polish.

Los Pastores de San Juan (The Shepherds of San Juan)
Los Pastores de San Juan (The Shepherds of San Juan), submitted to the contest by @krrizjos18, is a traditional Venezuelan dance particular to the town of San Juan de Los Morros. It is performed every June 24 in honor of the patron saint San Juan Bautista and in the second week of December for Christmas. @krrizjos18 shares a six-minute video of the dance in his entry post. We're honored to help share this slice of Venezuelan culture with the world.
