Creativity is part of who I am...

Allow me to elaborate...

Every since I was a child, I had a creative streak inside of me somewhere. I remember actually getting into trouble a lot in school for being too elaborative in my writing assignments. If the teacher asked for one page, I would turn in three! After all, I had a story to tell! As I got older, I found various ways to express my creativity. I worked in construction for many years, and often, my work would be involved designing a project on the fly after seeing how the project played out. That is something I always liked about doing construction work, and I still do. I help my wife with her company at times when she needs some construction-type work done, or if there is some volunteer work that needs to be done, like in the photo of a re-model at our Church below, I am willing to help out!

Helping with a re-model at my Church...

Sometimes, the work is not design-heavy, just hard, but it can still be a chance to be creative!

Just a lot of digging...

Later in life...

As I got older, I realized that my body was not going to take heavy labor for twenty more years, so I decided to go back to school. I was forty-one years old, and I went into a field, media production, that tends to gravitate towards the young. It did not matter to me, I wanted to learn how to do something that I was going to enjoy, I was not concerned with being wealthy. I have to say, not only did I learn skills that I use today, but I also had experiences that I am truly blessed to have been able to have. After all, how many guys my age have had the chance to operate a RED Camera? Or shoot a short film loosely based on his life experiences with professional equipment and studios? I have!

Studio Time!

My classmates were all very supportive of me being my age and going back to school, especially when I was honest about my not-so-shiny past...

I do my best to give back when I can!

A New Life, A New Person!

When I say I had a "Not-So-Shiny" past, without elaborating, I mean that. Today, however, I am in no way the same person I used to be. I take the time to enjoy life and be thankful for the things I have today, really, I am not supposed to be here anyway. My experiences in life truly do affect the way I look at the world, and my creativity now is focused on attempting to get others to see the things that I do in life. I hold a BAS in Communications, and I truly believe that the better we communicate, whether it is through art, music, the crafting of something, or wordsmithing in some way, the better the world will be to live in.

Just something I thought was cool at our local "Scrap-Fest"

My own "Art."

While it is hard to call myself an "Artist," I guess that is what I am. I like to think I am a decent writer, and now, thanks to my education, I am also able to produce quality media as well, as evidenced by my placing first in the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Student Awards for Television PSA the year I graduated, and as you can see from the photo that I turned in for a class assignment below, I like to think I fiy in here in the #CreativeCoin Community!

Thank you for taking the time to look over my post. Below is the Logo for the Media Creation Company I started in 2018, and hope to use it for production again soon! Again, thank you!

Nice intro post!

I also checked out your MOTBR website and we are cut from the same cloth my dude. Sordid, not-so-shiny past on a path of true truth.

Very cool! It is nice to meet people that think the way I do for sure! Have you checked out Project Revelation at all? I stumbled across it one day, bought in and staked. I am not really sure what the plan is, but it looks interesting as all day too me...

No I haven't seen it, bookmarked, I will check it out, thank you!
