The first acquisition was Cipher, the mobile blockchain browser competing with Coinbase-backed Toshi.

Cipher’s founder, Peter Kim, will become the engineering lead at Toshi and Cipher’s features will be merged with Toshi. The terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

The second acquisition is Earn.com, with the deal size rumoured to be in excess of $100m. Earn.com, which recently rebranded from 21.co, allows users to receive Bitcoin in exchange for emails from people outside their network.
As part of the deal, Earn.com founder, Balaji Srinivasan, a former GP at Andreesen Horowitz, will become CTO of Coinbase.
