I’m thankful to get some sun shining and for the snow to be melted away again!
It’s still pretty cold out, but I can’t complain!
Check out my twins!
They’re definitely not related at all, I brought them home from different situations months (maybe even a year or more) apart. The fluffy one was abused and was an older kitten or possibly an adult when I got her. The short hair was a kitten that was kind of pushed on me by some neighbour girls who had a ton of cats and kittens due to not spaying their adult females. It was a brutal situation and I said yes when I already had a few too many cats!
I usually say they’re about the same age, spring kittens born around 2008, but the fluffy one could be a year or two older, hard to say.
Either way, they’re not actually sisters, but have lived as such for almost 14 years now. And they look just like twins sometimes!
I’m no expert, but I had to fix the chainsaw the other day. My cousin came out in the fall and showed me some ways that I can adjust it to my needs. Since then, I’ve had to make a couple repairs and tweak it, so I have learned more about this machine and I certainly don’t mind getting my hands dirty when it comes to fixing puzzle-like devices.
I’m not a “car person” either, by any means, but I have definitely always been a puzzle person, and many things can be seen as a puzzle to me.
This is definitely one of them, I strongly considered becoming a mechanic by trade at times in my life. I have a pretty sensitive nose and can’t stand certain smells, like gas, so it was too much of a turn off to think about being around smells like that all day. I’d be puking and getting headaches way too much. (Yes, my body is THAT pathetic 🤣 fucking lemon.)
But I enjoy being able to do little repairs like this around the house, and since I’ve worked mainly in male dominated industries I’ve picked up a decent amount of know how when it comes to similar things.
I will admit though, I play baker better than I play mechanic!
These were amazing! And feature some delicious raspberries picked last summer by my aunt. We traded some fresh chicken eggs and raspberries for muffins, I think we were both quite happy with the trade because these muffins rocked my taste buds!! Yummmmm!
I think I ate like 5.
They’re low sugar, gluten free, and like usual there’s no recipe. I just throw the ingredients in a bowl and hope for the best!
I think I’m finally done with this wall hanging!
I used quite a bit of cotton cord, making those tassels uses plenty!! More than I was hoping/expecting. I really love this colour and was hoping to make it last a while.
Like I said, I enjoy the way it turned out. I really hate perfect symmetry, but I think from now on I’m going to try to make things more symmetrical because the masses DO enjoy it and I should be making things people actually want to buy and not just things that satisfy my own inner weirdness.

Knotilus daily pond is a series of photos of the pond near my home, some bloggery about the homestead and the creations, it’s then finished off with some choice memes.
Some days here are breathtaking, others will be gray and dull, I’m happy to share the different looks of the pond all year long 🙂
The shop is officially open!
