Are price of cryptocurrencies really being Manipulated?

while some people still believe the pump and dump of cryptocurrencies is as a result of demand and supply some are of opinion that its possible the coin price are being influenced by dev and large investors who seems to be controlling the market. such is what is currently happening to the crypto coin now. almost all coin price has fall. what is your own opinion ?
