Biometric Authentication brought to the world of Cryptocurrency

For a while, I have been writing about the state of security within the world of cryptocurrency. The safety of your investments has continuously been at risk from hackers either getting into exchanges, or your wallet. In this struggle, a newcomer has entered the field: L Vertex.
L Vertex, an international company, is combining the world of Cryptocurrency with the world of biometric authentication, specifically, finger vein identification. Finger vein patterns are unique to each person. A person’s finger vein pattern is developed as they mature to an adult and stays that way for life, barring critical health problems. L Vertex plans to implement an EMV card to be matched with your unique finger vein pattern. By scanning your finger along with your card, it will line up with your identification granting you access to your smart wallet. More good points about finger vein identification:

● Finger vein recognition is more secure than fingerprints as veins being beneath the skin do not leave prints behind.
● Finger vein identification also does not need the skin to be dry like fingerprint recognition does.

Another problem people have had securing their funds is keeping track of their lengthy passwords for their smart wallets. However, on top of the security aspects surrounding finger vein identification having your smart wallet being secured by biometric authentication you never have to worry about forgetting your password again.

Finger vein technology is a game changer in the online world in many ways even outside of cryptocurrency. L Vertex stepping up to bring this technology into the digital world is a step towards keeping us, and our funds, more secure.
