If you talk to a stranger and they know what NFTs are, then that person is likely to not think very highly of the "overpriced JPEGs".
NFTs have gotten a bad wrap... but not for long.
Things are changing and they are changing quick.
Major companies like Starbucks, Amazon, Ebay, Walmart and the NBA have launched or are launching new NFT reward programs.
I am part of the Starbucks Beta for their reward program, and I love it.
When users can gain value in reward programs, then its actually a reward.
I bought my a bag of coffee the other day so I could get a stamp. The stamp is worth about $225 right now, so it was totally worth it.
But more than just value, NFTs are built to be able to shown off. There is a viewer built on polygon that allows the Starbucks NFTs to be viewed on any GoogleApp on any Google device... including TVs.
Big names and brands are already partnering with blockchain games like Splinterlands, Upland and even DC Comics have launched on Palm NFT Studios. There is a lot going on in this space that is good for NFTs, and it growing.
And while many companies are moving towards NFTs, some are moving away.
VeVe, the digital collectible application was big on pushing the NFT side of their platform during the bull run, but now that NFTS have a bad name, they're switching up their branding. VeVe is trying to move away from NFTs, and towards digital collectibles.
For a company that had such a tight grip on the digital NFT collectibles during the bull run, this switch could pull them away from the growing number of collectors like NFTs.
NFTs are the future, but not just for rewarding customers, collectors, gaming and fun... the technology is gong to be used in all kinds of ways.
Tokenized assets will be something people will have to understand in the near future.
California is looking to put car titles on the blockchain.

As soccer moms start collecting NFTs on their Starbucks App things are going to get interesting in this space... quick.
