Yesterday I talked about Aillwee Cave and today I would like to talk about Aran Island.
Aran Island is set of 3 different islands situated off the coast of county Galway. It’s another beautiful island and lovely place to visit if you want to take a break from city life.
Visitors can take a ferry from county Galway or Doolin. It’s around 45 mins ferry to reach the islands. The biggest island is Inis Mor and lost popular one as well. Most of the tourist visit this island only and this island have all the attractions.

What’s up to see ? There is a fort but like most of the Irish ☘️ attraction one need to make an effort to reach there. It’s a long trek to the top of the mountain. But it’s worth it as the view from the top is fantastic. There is a viewing point where one need to lay down and look down from the edge of the mountain into the sea. It’s refreshing to deal the cold air coming up from the sea into your face.
Small fields with stonewalls are another attraction. There is a seal 🦭 colony as well. If one is lucky, one can see them on a fine day.
There is worm hole as well which is Red Bull cliff diving place.
There is one light house and beautiful beaches.
Aran sweaters are very famous. One can buy from the local shop.
