这座城市最明显的特点就是，河道两旁的景象仿佛与其他地方是两个不同的世界，一旦离开河岸，一切似乎就变的没那么美好了，反而更加真实的体现了当地的境况，基本上城市的脏乱的程度和中国三四线乡城结合部差不多吧，不仅人口密集度不太高，基础设施不太完善，而且整体显得比较荒凉，房屋比较破旧，垃圾就在房屋外面成堆的累积，各种味道不太友善。
街道也是乱乱的，人流量大，市容混乱，走在街上随时会被疯狂兜售小东西的商贩挡住了去路，还有强行推荐坐帆船，骑马坐马车活动的商贩，可见当地人民还是很渴望通过旅游业得到一些主要的收入的。
