I think I had the same reaction when I read your title like “what in the heck is thinking??”
Then I read it and laughed even more because sex wasn’t number 1. Then I got an even bigger laugh because it wasn’t mentioned at all—they didn’t know anything back then!

lol! oh I think everyone will agree with you sir dandays, sex was not even on the list. I was very tempted to put in my own comments about sex but figured I was already on an inflammatory subject so I better not. lol.
I think the divorce rate was real low though but probably because most of the wives were "trained"to be doormats. Or slaves.
