Yesterday's Dash was...

Yesterday’s Dash was plain truth in plain words and that is something that is missing a lot in both history and the news these days.

We can’t expect things to get better if as a society if we don’t know how we got to this point time to begin with. Until the “powers” that are elected decide to tell us what the real truth is we will be stuck in this never ending battle of races and classes fighting and bickering about who got screwed the most or who is getting screwed the worst right now.

There is no doubt in my mind that the blacks in the USA have gotten the shaft but they aren’t the only ones.

I told ya’ll yesterday that there were white slaves in the land that would becomes the USA 100 years before a black slave even set foot on the land here. I should have mentioned that there were native Indians that were captured and enslaved too in that same time frame. The Indians who weren’t captured and enslaved frequently ended up dead from the battles they fought with the settlers from Europe.

How many of...

How many of you have read George Orwell’s book, “Nineteen Eighty Four”? We need to keep in mind he published that book in 1949.

He made several predictions about how life would be in the future, (which is now our history), and he was quite accurate on several things.

One thing that gets little attention when that book is discussed is what he said about history,” Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.”

This exact scenario is playing out right before our very own eyes.

Our history doesn't...

Our history doesn’t teach about the true history of slavery on this soil in its entirety.

The fact that so many Confederate war memorials and statutes of confederate soldiers are being removed shows that the “who controls the present controls the past” is at work.

I guess “out of sight” equates to “out of mind” or at least that is what the current “who” wants.

In doing so they suppress the future generations from even seeing something that might lead to the questioning of, “what happened and why?”

Something else that...

Something else that you probably didn’t realize is that some of those statues that are coming down weren’t put up in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s as one might expect.

At least one that I know of wasn’t erected until 1970; after the civil rights movement of the 1960’s had taken place. I don’t have to tell ya’ll what that was meant to signify. These types of coded messages and dog whistle type activities continued to send a message of white supremacy and intimidation.

Until we come...

Until we come to grips with what really took place in this country, (and own up to it), we can never come to having a peaceful society.

When we finally do own up to it we are going to find out damn near everything we’ve learned in our lives has been a total fabrication. Plus a lot of people we have thought of as heroes in this country will be thought of as traitors are going to be my guess.

For you BLM...

For you BLM folks out there; I’ve never owned slaves in my life and I doubt any other white person reading this Dash has or would want too. Being born white wasn’t my choice in case you didn’t realize.

I don’t judge people by the color of their skin; I go by the goodness in their heart.

The current riots...

The current riots taking place in cities across this country only serve to further divide this country and stir up fear and hatred. I can tell you that is exactly what the folks running this country want.

We have been so dumb down in this country and world that the vast majority of people don’t know who the hell is running the country and the world.

The owners, yes the owners, running the country and the world are the bankers. The own us lock, stock, and barrel and we are all their slaves for them to do as they wish with us.

They have always had control over us. They’ve squeezed every ounce of energy out of us that we have and continue demand more from us. They did it to our ancestors before us and they will to it us, to our kids, and our grand children in the future.

I didn't go...

I didn’t go far enough in yesterday’s Dash to tie it altogether when I said that BLM was about money.

Bankers financed the plantations operations, slavery was the labor force and would be disrupted by the 13th amendment. The bankers stepped in and had congress put the clause in the amendment that would change the workers in the game from slaves to criminals.

Problem solved.

Plantations continued operations, sold their crops and paid back the bankers. The cycle continues on year after year.

Indisputable truths in law are known as “Maxims in Law” and I don’t profess to know all of them. But if I had to make my own list of “Maxims in Life” the first one would be “follow the money trail”.

George Orwell knew it and that is what he was trying to say with, ” Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.”

The bankers worst nightmare would be for Henry Ford’s famous quote to become reality, "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."

All of the

All of the news about protests, riots, pandemics, natural disasters and any other thing you hear reported on as "news" are all made in an effort to keep you focused and concerned on those.

Distractions are the bankers “best friend’ and are meant to keep your mind occupied on those things.

Don’t be surprised if you hear that the US is deploying 30,000 troops to Iraq very soon.

Until next time,
Sult

Well, I don't mind seeing the confederate monuments moved to museums. The Confederacy was BASED on sedition and treason and just plain shouldn't be glorified in the public eye. I don't think they should be destroyed, just moved so that people that want to know can go see and the general population doesn't have to be reminded every day.

I'm really glad you brought up the pre 1619 slavery. Just so everybody is really clear that ownership of humans was a basis for the start of this country.

I also seriously agree that the bankers and big business is helping to drive the mis-direction that keeps most people from looking at what's really going on. "Don't look behind the curtain."

After 19 years in Afghanistan without one inch of progress it might be time for a new battlefield.

Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.”

Yep.

I have mixed feelings on the confederate statues. A case could be made for the charges you mentioned but we also need to remember that the Declaration of Independence said that when the government gets out of control we should cast it off and form a new one. Maybe not the exact wording but you know what I mean.
So a case could be made that the Confederate states were just following the founders wishes in that regard.
I guess my issue is that once those statues were placed they became a part of the landscape as piece of art too. Rather than just haul them off in the middle of the night under secrecy a public referendum should have been held and let the voters decide if they should stay or go.

In Houston in can take 8 to 10 months to get a pothole fixed in a major road that can cause damage to cars but let's not take care of that with any sense of urgency. They wasted no time jumping on the bandwagon to remove statues though and those statues posed no threat to causing damage to anyone.
I guess what I'm saying is that there needs to be some prioritization when doing things and knee jerk reactions to certain peoples wishes shouldn't vault them to priority status.

That "don't be surprised" mention isn't without some merit to it; a family friend who's son is in the army said he is being deployed to there as part of that 30,000. I don't have the exact date of when he ships out, I'll see if the wife can find out.
Sult

Of course you are right. Many of the Confederates made a considered decision knowing they put their legal status at risk. Bobby Lee among them. BUT THEY LOST. Had America lost the revolution there would have been mass hangings by the crown. No statues.

Ohhhhh. I just truly hate to see another mass deployment (or even a 'small' deployment). Why does that seem like another distraction from the President to me? I'm just cynical I guess.

A sad state of affairs indeed!

There needs to be some unifying power.
What is the thing that is going to bring humans together.
History shows that in times of peace, humans create conflict!

For the love of god people!!!
Do we need an alien invasion?
I think I've had enough of 2020 already.

Yes, I have had my fill of 2020 as well.
It is a sad state of affairs and it doesn't appear that it will get better anytime soon.
On a positive note though; the planet is due to destruct any day now according to the scientists' predictions back in the early '80's when then started giving us all the global warming and climate change stuff. So we won't have to put up with this crap much longer.
So at least we have something to look forward too!
Sult

Slavery has been the foundation of countries all over the world since before the world gave the pretext of being "civilized". Conquerors almost always took slaves. Looking at the early world history reveals a trail of violence and slavery usually in the name of some form of monetary gain. Things won't change for the better until we stop repeating the past. We can try to hide the past, rewrite what we don't like but we can't run from it.

"Things won't change for the better until we stop repeating the past.", you are so correct with that statement Ceci.
Which is exactly why history needs to be told in its entirety and truthfully. If we are so ashamed of what has been done we might should have refrained from doing it to begin with.
It is definitely time for the government to come clean and own up to the past, so we can get things right and not make the same mistakes.
Very well said my friend.
