The Kid started Grade 7, High School today. A big deal, it means he's now officially a Big Kid. But also effectively one of the little kids in his new school.
He did 7 years at his Primary School and now he'll do the next 6 at High School. Then perhaps University.
We are exhausted tonight - him from a big first day, and me from running around doing the whole worried Mum thing to get him ready. So much to organise, plus a totally new routine to adapt to.
A few sad Mum tears at how much he's grown, and some proud Mum tears for the same reason.
One helpful thing - his new school is near my work so no more needing to drop him in the opposite direction before heading into work and then having to dash back after to pick him up. Also no more before- and after- school care for him. It's a whole new world!
Hitting the sack now so we can get up and do it all again tomorrow ... zzzzzzz ...
Until next time,
@Sammie
