RE: Berlin Rent Cap ("Mietendeckel"): Regional government tried to artificially freeze rising rents in Berlin but constitutional court ruled it's unlawful. Can inflation be frozen by law?

Everything can be enforced in a police state. Question is should be it done in market economy in a democratic state. On the other hand, governments seem to have run out of usual means to cope with the ever worsening situation and they are trying to prevent economic collapse by any means necessary. I just do not see how it can be done by putting restrictions on one sector.

They have printed sooo much unbased money, that inflation or even hyper inflation is inevitable. The question is only when. It's very basic economics. But i think debase of currencies is not too far away, and retail sector will pay for all the bad practices and incompetence of government once again, as usual.
