Voted for I had a new account with barely any SP.
I'm still trying to clime above the 15 SP delegation I got from creating my account, and I'm only half way there. I have to be exceptionally cautious how often I comment or vote on stuff, or else I'll run out. Heck, this is the first real comment I've been able to make in 2 days because I made a true post that sucked down my RC a couple of days back.
"I have to be exceptionally cautious how often I comment or vote on stuff, or else I'll run out."
And that is why you upvoted your own comment?
By the way, according to SteemWorld, your voting CSI is 5.4 (9.09 % self, 66 upvotes, 37 accounts, last 7d).
Maybe climbing above the 15 SP delegation would be easier, if you would focus more on upvoting other people's posts and comments, and on commenting under other people's posts (or replying to other people's comments under other people's posts).
No offense meant.
None taken, though you do seem to insinuate all I vote for my own comments. To be fair, I thought voting for yourself was supposed to help increase your own Steem/SP income? At least, that's what I had heard early on as there was talk at one point of doing something to discourage people from doing it. Am I mistaken about that?

No, that is not what I mean. I already quoted that your self-upvote percentage is 9.09% in the last 7 days.

Yes. At least partly.
You don't think (or maybe you don't even know) about the payout threshold.
The minimum payout for each post/comment is $0.02.
Anything less than that will not be paid out.
The current value of your upvote is less than $0.01, so you are wasting your voting power and your resource credits (RC) by upvoting your own comments.
If other people will upvote your post/comment with at least $0.02, then you will get a payout.
But if you upvote other people's post/comments, which known to be upvoted, then you will certainly get curation rewards.
This is already a win-win situation. Both of you will get rewards.
If you cast your upvote early, you can earn more curation rewards than your own upvote value.
And if you do this thing right, it can be much more, because if you upvote others, maybe they upvote you too. Or more likely probably, if you find the right people.
You need to build friendships/connections to grow on this platform.
If you find friends, then they certainly support you.
Just don't forget to do the same to them.
Everyone should think like this, and the community would work together.
Probably the price of Steem would be also higher.
Engaging in STEEM Hunt or https://steem-bounty.com can be a great way to earn few bits of votes. Check them out :)
