Friends, as promised a few days ago, I'm back today to show you my hand-drawn colored pencil sketches of drums. If you recall, I promised to start a series just about drums. I've already shown you some of them, but most have been common decks, and today I wanted to change things up a bit, so I chose a rare drum. This is the Marching Bass drum; you can find this beautiful drum in the game with the identification number R356. While I tell you a little about this instrument, take a look at the first slides of the drawing.

The drum depicted in this deck is a marching drum, meaning it's used in activities involving military marches or epic events. It typically has a strap, like a backpack, for carrying it over the shoulders. The player holds it in front of them. Because it's supported by the shoulders, the drummer's hands are free to use the large drumstick to play the drum. The straps also allow the drummer to walk or march while carrying the drum.

The drum isn't easy to play; they're usually quite heavy and require a lot of practice because you have to know how to walk and play at the same time. It's an art, which is why it's so entertaining to watch in various videos of military bands online. I really enjoy it whenever I have the chance to see it in a video. I often watch these kinds of bands; they're quite original, and I recommend them.
Now, I'm going to talk a little about the drawing. In the first eight images I showed you, you saw how I made the main drawing, which includes the base of the deck, the title box, and the drum. You could also see how I colored everything with colored pencils.
What I enjoyed most about the drawing was the base of the deck that surrounds the drum itself. In this, I added some yellow bars that are in the example deck, as well as some small stars at the top and bottom of the base, both on the right side. Now I want you to see how it turned out after drawing the final details of the design and the materials used.

To finish the drawing, I outlined the edges with my black marker. This prevents the colors from blending together and keeps them from standing out too much, and that's how it turned out. I'll be making more drums for the game soon, so don't miss them—the Rising Star decks are amazing!
