In this episode of In the Kitchen with Matt I will show you how to make apple pie. This easy homemade apple pie recipe is so yummy. I love making apple pie from scratch, it is one of my favorite pies to eat and make. If I can do it, you can do it. Let's get baking!
Ingredients:
Flaky Crust Recipe
(1) 9-inch pie Pastry Crust (double recipe for top and bottom)
1 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of chilled butter - cubed
1/4 cup of cold water
1 tsp. of sugar
1/4 tsp. of salt
Apple Pie Filling:
6 to 7 Medium Tart Apples (Granny Smith)
1/3 cup of granulated sugar
1/4 cup of brown sugar (packed)
1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. of cornstarch
1/2 tsp. of nutmeg
1/2 tsp. of cinnamon
3 Tbsp. of butter

9inch pie pan
bowls
cutting board
rolling pin
wooden spoon
fork
pastry blender
knives
plastic wrap
Peeler
Apple Corer/Peeler (optional)
