Now I know that some of you have seen this before, but these are all fresh photos that I took today.
There are two new items added to my collection that makes the one shell collection complete and the other one is a set of old spectacles (glasses) or eye glasses, whatever watchamaycallit.
It took time to find the one shell, but finally found it.

Just a closer look at some of the sea shells here.
Yes, we collect all kinds of things from the sea in order to create an ocean theme in the corner.
Right, now I will show you in the next photo that this collection is now complete as there was one shell missing.
Bang! There it is, the third shell from the right, as we show the growing sequence of the collection.
These are called Giant Chitton (Dinoplax gigas) and they use them to teach children about the ocean in an aquarium here in the Western Cape.
I have shown you my old camera collection before (also fresh photos taken today), but with something added.
A set of old round glasses with a wire adjustable frame at the right of the picture.
Everyone cannot wear the same glasses due to the different frame sizes, but this set of glasses has a wire frame that one can bend to suit your size. Innovative methinks.
I don't think that the glasses frame makers would be happy to do this again, as they will sell less frames hahahah.

I always take a few shells home from holidays at the sea. Hopefully it will be possible soon again, but my collection can never be as great as yours, Zac.
Actually, it's just a glass with shells on a shelf and so I even wouldn't call it a collection 😉

Marian, blame Marian as she is the great collector. The lamp is mine, the Nautilus shells and the Chitton shell collection is mine and everything else was collected by the madame.
She thinks that if I can collect a few, then she can collect the ocean 🤣
Your few shells can fill a glass and Marian's collection will soon fill the house 😎

I like shells - they are fascinating creatures and they are beautiful. Some are looking ugly from the outside and when you open them you can see the beautiful mother of perl inside ☺️

Shush Hannes, if she hears this then she will give me an argument that even the mountain goat agrees that she should fill the house with shells. Heaven forbid.
She was already looking at those large Indonesian shells that were turned into chairs for us to sit on in the house🤣
I have some nice videos of shells fighting to steal another shells top. They are indeed fascinating creatures.

Yes, to sit on and the shells are so big that they even turn them into tables with glass tops.
I have posted about them last year some time.
The house of the shells become damaged by the waves and if a shell has a hole in it's roof, then the owner will searches around for another similar sized house and attacks the owner 🤣

'John Lennon' glasses one doesn't see I wonder if the popularity will ever return for those funky coloured glasses that were the craze at one point in time.

Yes, as human beings many of us have one thing in common and that's to collect what we deem to be beautiful, or interesting stuff. Sticks and stones, feathers and fluff, bottles and stamps and I can go on and on. The one fades to be replaced by a new find and eventually we run out of space 🤣
Then we die and everything is collected and dumped somewhere for someone else to discover and to collect . Strange but true!
