RT reports: California Leads the Way to Destruction of Math Education
California's Department of Education has announced that the gap between well-performing students and their less able peers must disappear, indicating that mere words are not enough - schools must deliver ‘equity’ in classrooms.

I am very far from appreciating the editorializing mixed in with the reporting, especially the rather asinine description of the students of Dalton in New York City as “hothouse flowers”. The mention of Dalton is because one father of a student wrote and broadcast a letter withdrawing his daughter because he objected to Dalton indoctrinating his daughter in racism in the guise of anti-racism. Trivializing the issue with a puerile and divisive joke at the expense of the better off is not helpful.
The facts are damning enough. All the Democrat dominated states are destroying excellence in maths in public education and replacing this essential foundation of science education with a repressive regime of “race based” indoctrination. This panders and patronizes black students, who on average show worse performance in maths than white and Asian students and destroys their opportunity to advance. It ghettoizes those students who on average show better achievement in maths, the white kids yes, but most of all the Asian kids who on average benefit from a home environment and ethnic culture that values hard work and excellence.
Nobody is saying, apparently, how these groups have been categorized and divided but Thomas Sowell has a lot to say about it. The scores in reading and in maths all over the USA are alarmingly bad and getting worse rapidly. Racism in the guise of anti-racism, essentially Critical Race Theory, is the basic driving force for school boards all over the nation especially in the Democrat dominated urban districts. California leads the plunge downward. School districts in all California cities report math and reading scores on a level with the poorest states, Alabama and Luisiana. White students and especially students of Asian ethnicity are being discriminated against because on average they are better students. Yet when Charter school classes are set up in the poorest black neighbourhoods, Sowell remarks, the students chosen for this traditionalist, "three-Rs” education, kids from the same background as any in their poverty plagued neighbourhoods, immediately improve.
So called “progressivism” applied intensively over the next 8 years of Biden/Harris will utterly destroy American public education and divide Americans into groups by race from Kindergarten on up through university, virtual creating racial divisiveness which now doesn’t really exist, except in the worst urban hell holes the Democrats have held for decades. In Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Minneapolis, New York City the blight advances faster than any virus. America, until 30 years ago the world leader in education and science achievement, is being deliberately and systematically destroyed from within.
Meanwhile other nations, Russia and China leading the way, are emphasizing achievement in maths and science. Very soon a new trend will be seen. Asian foreign students will stop coming to Yale, Harvard, USC and other formerly great universities. Science and math will desert the USA. This will have epic historical impact.
