The Impeachment Trial Is Simply Deepening Divisions

in #elections3 years ago

Democrats claim that Trump's rally on January 6 brought our Democracy to the brink and that we must impeach Trump for holding a rally.

Personally, I think that election fraud and the impeachment trial pose a greater risk to our Constitutional Republic than the impeachment. Youtube has been censoring people who present counter arguments; So I will throw down some links to Rumble videos.

This first video talks about how law schools are using the impeachment as a litmus test. 144 scholars published a letter (aimed at law students and young lawyers) saying that anyone who argues against the Democrats will be deemed "legally frivolous" which is a label that can end one's career:

NOTE: I can't figure out how to embed Rumble videos, So I will just give links. This is from the Dershow:

This second video shows VivaFrei responding to an article by Molly Ball of Time Magazine in which a leading news organization openly admits that Democrats rigged the election against Trump. The article reports that:

  • There was a concerted effort to use extra legal methods to change election laws.
  • The big tech companies used their clout to control the flow of information to favor Biden.
  • During the election, Democrats used questionable techniques to suppress the Trump vote and to increase the Biden vote.
  • The left had planned protests throughout the nation in the case that Trump won.
  • The left planned to suppress investigations of election fraud in case Biden won.

This is the Time article. Back in the 1970s, Time was a respected magazine. This is the link to the video:

How Does a Nation Deal with Systemic Election Fraud?

The election fraud has me more worried than the clown show in DC. Trump's last rally and the impeachment are nothing more than shows.

The real problem is the election fraud. The Left now has a formula for total political dominance in the United States.

I believe that the people matter more than the politicians. Trump played into the left's hands by making the election fraud about himself.

The fraud was not driven by hatred of Trump. The fraud was driven by the left's insatiable desire for power. Hatred of Trump is simply a tool that the left used to mask a power grab.

Trump played into the left's hand by making the fraud about himself.

Because Trump made the fraud about himself and not the nation, the left was able to use its carefully nutured hatred of Trump to stop the important debate about fraud.

I dislike Trump. I dislike the way he engages in politics and I dislike the fact that he did not have a coherent health care policy.

Because Trump made the issue about himself, he undermined our ability to discuss the election fraud.

The Trump / Pence Fiasco

The rift between Trump and Pence is the prime example of how Trump's narcissism undermined the debate about election fraud.

The Congressional ratification debate was the last and best chance to address election fraud.

The investigation of fraud has to be impartial. To be impartial one has to argue and understand different sides of the debate.

After the election, Trump and his supporters attacked the people who tried to investigate the issue impartially.

Trump's final interaction with Pence indicates that Trump was more interested in maintaining his power than in addressing the fraud.

The ruling elite was suppressing the debate about fraud. Trump's raging ego made it impossible for an impartial investigation of fraud.

I do not give a flying flip about Trump. I do care about the suppression of debate and the possibility that the American voting system has become corrupt.

Election Reform

The post Trump world has left the United States with two horrible problems: Bad actors control the flow of information and there is reason to believe our election system has been compromised.

These are real problems.

The people matter more than the leaders. Because Trump and his followers made the issue about Trump, they've destroyed the ability to engage in debate about electoral reform and election integrity.

Mike Lindel has a must watch video about election reform:

I decided to show Rumble links as they are an alternative video source to Youtube. To recap, my references are:

An article by Molly Ball in Time praising the subversion of the US election to beat Trump. A video by Alan Dershowitz about a letter using the Trump Impeachment as a litmus test for students. I put a partisan overview of election fraud by Mike Lindel. (Cases about election fraud are usually raised by partisans. For example, Republicans made the case that the Democrats subverted elections in the age of Jim Crow was a partisan case.).

I dislike Trump. The political circus around Trump diverts attention from real problems
