Hi Steemians!

Welcome to my blog. Today I share a color drawing of a beautiful young woman's portrait and what inspired me to do this work is her hair, as it is very abundant and defined.

At first I saw it very difficult, I really did not want to draw it, but I decided to do it and it became a challenge, especially because during the process, I felt the urge to leave it, but something in me told me, that I would not give up, and now that I see it finished makes me feel very satisfied with the results. For this drawing I took 12 hours to do it

"The difficulties of life, can help improve our skills at work."

❢Materials I used:❢

Faber Castell Color Pencils, Paper-Mate and Prismacolor.
Cold paint: brown, white and yellow.
Brush N° 0.
Graphite pencil HB.
Sheet of white thread, dimensions 12,9X20,7 cm.
Draft.

✽Here I show the step by step of the drawing:✽

Step 1: Realization of the sketch. In this step I used the graphite pencil HB, so that the lines are very thin so that when you add the color does not stain,

IMG A1.jpg

Step 2: With pencils of pink and brown colors, I began to paint the skin, for the iris of the eye I added brown and black.

IMG A2.jpg

Step 3: I painted the nose and mouth, for the lips I used dark pink, a little brown for the shadows and black to define the line that separates the lips

IMG A3.jpg

Step 4: I finished painting the face.

IMG A4.jpg

Step 5: I painted the girl's arms with light pink and brown tones. In this step I added some lights to the face (around the eyes and on the lips) with cold white paint.

IMG A5.jpg

Step 6: In this step I made the freckles of the face and began to paint the hair. It was very complicated to paint the hair of the young woman, because I had to make strands of light hair over the dark places and since my colors do not have that capacity, I resorted to cold painting. First I painted the dark parts of the hair, detailing the places that go blond, then I mixed brown and yellow paint, and I was adding some parts on top of the black color. In this way I was able to make the loose hair lines.

IMG A6.jpg

Step 7: I finished painting the portrait with the other part of the hair, doing the same as in the previous step, painting the dark parts, detailing the light parts and painting with the cold paint.

Here I show the process in a GIF animation

I am learning new techniques, it is the first time I use cold paint in drawings with colored pencils, and it looks great in this work.

Note: cold paint, is a water-based paint with organic pigments and resins, especially for painting on ceramic, wood, cloth and general crafts. For the application of the product, you can use soft hair or hard bristle brushes, sponges, spatulas, among others.

This is so so beautiful, I love it! I love the curls in her hair and the look on her eyes, she looks so calm and peaceful.

This proved to be a challenge for you at first but you did an awesomely great job with it. It's incredible!

Was there someone you were trying to paint in particular or just a product of your imagination?

Really those curls were beautiful, and truly a challenge, but the drawing turned out very well.
And it is someone particular that I wanted to draw, especially to practice and improve my skills.
Thanks for comment, greetings

Just wow again! :)

That step when you added the hair made compleeete difference. So you basically painted all hair black, and then added the brown/yellow mix? I'm bit puzzled cuz you say you first paint only black parts...and then start with brown/yellow - to put it on the black already. Sooo the black parts in the beginning were actually all hair? Hope you get what I mean haha :D But those hair are absolutely stunning!

Hey @matkodurko, I'm glad you're here again.
and in that step, I paint with the black pencil, leaving blank the parts that are blond, and then with a very fine brush I paint in the places I left blank with the brown / yellow paint mixture, and in turn; I paint some strands of hair on the black color, this way the texture of real hair is left.

She is a beautiful woman, I like that you captured her expression well, and you definitely did a great job creating her hair nicely :D.

Congratulations for your curie vote, Francis ^_^.

Thank you very much, I am really happy for the support of Curie.
The hair was very difficult to paint, I had a lot of fun. Imagine stopping many times, to detail and think if it looks good or not. It's a funny torture, because I like what I do.

Aaaaah francis ! This is a very pretty portrait of a beautiful girl * ___ * I really like the pose and how you colour her ! Her freckles are so lovely, and her eyes and hair are magical <3 Very lovely art~

Congrats on Curie, also <3 <3 <3

His hair is really magic, because what I did, I had never done it before, and I did not know if it would be good, I just experimented in adding paint, and in the end it was beautiful.
Thank you very much, I'm really happy for Curie's support.

Saludos y Bendiciones .@naideth.

It is always amazing to me how the heart of people conceive artistic masterpieces like this one. I wish I could do such paintings too. The picture is beautiful, the colour mix is great, nothing being out of proportion. It is a job well done. Thank you @francisftlp

Hi @francisftlp, How nice to see portraits made only with colors, that realism.

I love the hair waves and the lighting you put on it looks too spongy and the detail of the freckles impressive. I really like it a lot.

from her features she looks like a latin woman, thick lips grrr

Thank you for sharing your creation.

greetings, peace and love

I hope you can see my next publication, thank you for commenting.

You have a very good self disciplined to have continued and finished your art in spite of you thinking about it as hard to accomplish. Your drawing is amazing! She is alive on such drawing.

Who is that your model?

I thank you very much, I believe that if I rendered easily in the creation of art, I would not have the knowledge and the skill that I have.
Until now I do not have my own models to draw, so I look for images by Google

Yes, learning and self-development require courage and discipline to be achieved. Otherwise, you get nothing or go nowhere.

You mean you do not know who your model is if you just took her photo from Google? Wow! She must be very lucky to have been chosen. I wish she get a chance to know that she has a beautiful painting care of you.

WoW... te pasaste @francisftlp :-) Demasiado Hermoso... Me encanta!!!

Muchas gracias @sosadraws, me alegra que te haya gustado el dibujo.

Thank you very much, the texture of the paper is because it is made of yarn fibers. I hope to see you soon.
I apologize for answering so late.

Oh girl, I totally understand that you found it challenging to draw her. She is a very pretty girl with special skin and beautiful hair.

I like your progress photos and the systematic way of working. You mastered her hair perfectly and those freckles are cute.

Her skin tones are spot on and her eyes and mouth are beautiful. She looks happy, content and relaxed. And those lashes and brows! I could count them - such a great detail!

Thank you for sharing!

I'm happy to have a comment from you, I'm so happy to have you here. It really was a challenge to draw it, and the important thing is that I enjoyed it a lot despite the complicated, the cold painting helped me a lot.
Thank you very much for this nice comment. I'm sorry to respond so late.
