Animated Netflix offensive

A few days ago, I informed that Netflix signed contracts with new studios and expanded the existing ones. Hence, Netflix subscribers will get even more, even better anime. I'm happy with this decision, because as I said, even if a few shit anime comes out, there's a good chance that we'll get some gems. Netflix has capital, know-how (yes, I agree that sometimes, maybe even more often than not, you don't see it too much), they also employ good creators who know what and how. Examples - "Baki", "Castelvania", "Devilman: Crybaby", "Kengan Ashura". While in the case of the 1st and 4th titles, it can be said that it is mainly the merit of the comic book author, in the case of the game adaptation or DMC, there was no source material that could be easily transferred to the film's language. Especially in the case of "Castelvani", because when it comes to "Devilman", I assume that they took some of the plots from the old comic. Another advantage of Netflix is also that they don't care about any censorship. If another studio had adapted KA or DMC, some scenes would rather not have passed through the censors. The disco from the first episode would miss a few scenes, we might not have seen Muteba Gizenga with his girls, and even if it did, I doubt if we would see a testicle crush or other equally brutal blows. All in all, it's better that Netflix produces anime than if it wasn't going to produce them at all. Competition is a very good and useful phenomenon that primarily benefits the consumer! And now, check out the upcoming Netflix anime. Oh, and one more thing - two anime from this list are not from the streaming giant, so I'll write about them at the beginning. I forgot to add mentions to them in the news review, so now I'll catch up.

[Pacific Rim]
I haven't talked about this movie for a long time, I'm talking in singular, because I haven't seen the sequel until today. It is true that I liked it a lot (I even bought a copy on BD to support its creators), it gave me a lot of fun, had a lot of fanservice for fans of "Tosho Daimos", "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and "Mobile Suit Gundam", but after 3 I got so bored with the screening that I haven't come back to it until today. PR is such a card for all fans of big robots and monsters who, being children, watched on the TV one of the above-mentioned anime or other, not mentioned by me. If, as a kid, you were excited by the sight of a great robot that massacred its big opponent, then until today there is no movie closer to your heart. Maybe this will change the acting version of "Gundam", which is said to have been made in Hollywood for several years. As for the anime itself - I'll be happy to watch it. I'm not a fanboy of Polygon, but I've seen a few of their anime and heard some pretty positive feedback about others.

[Tokyo Babylon]
The popular manga series from a group of female cartoonists will get its animated adaptation. GoHands studio is responsible for them! The premiere in 2021.

[Godzilla]
Due to the fact that we live in these and not other times, we will start the Netflix discussion with a pensioner. Gintoki, after finishing work in "Gintama", went to another universe and this time he will hunt overgrown lizards. The trailer looks promising, the CGI is not that bad and it could have looked worse. I am not a fan of "Godzilla", I haven't seen the latest movie trilogy from Polygon, but I plan to catch up with it. Maybe even before the premiere of this series. As for the movies, I didn't like the old, the new Japanese version either, and the American ones bored me for the same reason as Michael Bay's "Transformers".

[Baki]
I have already informed about the fact that the 4th season is being created. I don't remember if they informed us when it would be streaming, but now we know - in 2021 we will see the legendary fight between Baki and Yujiro. Hopefully this time they don't cut some great manga scenes like they did last season. It would be great if the final season of "Kengan Ashura" came out in the same year, but since it wasn't about Netflix at the festival, we'll probably get it either in the 2nd half of 2021 or already in 2022.

[Spriggan]
We got the first teaser of the new series from the makers of "Jojo's Bizzare Adventure" and the remake of "Captain Tsubasa". I don't know the manga or the old anime movie, but the teaser promises a cool show that I am rather going to like.

[Thermae Romae]
I heard about this manga a long time ago. It is very popular in Japan + my friend praised it on her fanpage. I don't know if it's a story for fans of history, such as "Vinland Saga", but I will definitely watch it and let you know.

As for the rest of the anime, I'll probably watch them (I say this in the context of "B: The Beginning" and "The Way of the Househusband"), but I don't plan on doing it too soon because my Plan2Watch list is too long. I will not comment on them because I would have nothing interesting to write about.
