Pokemon GO kilka lat temu cieszyło się olbrzymią popularnością. Gra stała się prawdziwym hitem, gdyż zmuszała do wyjścia z domu i szukania stworków w prawdziwym świecie. Produkcja była jednak niedopracowana i po pewnym czasie zainteresowanie opadło. Postawnowiłem wrócić po latach i zobaczyć, co się zmieniło. Czas na recenzję!
Pokemon GO enjoyed tremendous popularity a few years ago. The game was very innovative, as it forced you to get out of the house and look for creatures in the real world. However, the production was underdeveloped and after a while interest waned. I decided to come back years later and see what has changed. Time for a review!
Tuż po premierze gry miłośnicy Pokemonów wpadli w obłęd. Patrząc w ekran telefonu wpadali do wody, a nawet powodowali wypadki drogowe. Przy wynajmowaniu mieszkania nie zwracali uwagi tylko na umeblowanie, ale dostęp do pokestopów, z których można co 5 minut pozyskiwać pokeballe i inne bonusy. Jednak tamta wersja ograniczała się do zbierania stworków i nie zapewniała w moim odczuciu zbyt wiele emocji. Dziś dużo się zmieniło, a gra wygląda tak, jak powinna wyglądać od premiery.

Today, a lot has changed, and the game looks as it should have looked since its release.

Gra w Pokemony to powiew nostalgii. Było to jedna z bardzo wciągających bajek, a potem powstawały gry, gadżety, tazosy i wiele innych. Pokemon Go pozwala wcielić się w łapacza stworków, które będą walczyć o wpływy w realnym świecie. Mowa tu o przejmowaniu Gymów wrogich zespołów. Gracze dzielą się na kilka drużyn. I tak na moim osiedlu wroga frakcja stale próbuje przejąć czerwony gym na zdjęciu powyżej, a gdy to się stanie, muszę go odbić. Można to porównać do zamków w Heroasach — po prostu musimy umieścić tam mocniejsze Pokemony, które obronią teren lub sami zaatakować potężnymi stworami.

Pokemon Go allows you to take on the role of a catcher of creatures that will fight for influence in the real world. We are talking about taking over the Gyms of enemy teams. Players are divided into several teams. And so in my settlement, the enemy faction is constantly trying to take over the red Gym in the picture above, and when this happens, I have to take it back. This can be compared to castles in Heroes - we simply have to place stronger Pokémon to defend the area or attack with powerful creatures ourselves.
Walka stanowi bardzo ważny element gry i jest zręcznościowa. Musimy po prostu klikać na wrogiego stwora, a gdy naładujemy atak specjalny, możemy go użyć i zadać olbrzymie obrażenia. Tego właśnie brakowało mi podczas premiery, gdyż twórcy ten element po prostu olali. Na szczęście, teraz jest całkiem inaczej. Rywalizacja przynosi wielką satysfakcję i zachęca nas do łapania i trenowania coraz lepszych Pokemonów.

This is what I missed during the launch, as the developers simply poured over this element. Fortunately, things are quite different now. The competition is very rewarding and encourages us to catch and train better and better Pokémon.

Jak łapać Pokemony? Tak samo, jak Ash Ketchum – trener z popularnej bajki! Będziemy więc spacerować (realnie!), jeździć rowerem (ostrożnie i stając przy próbie łapania) czy biegać w poszukiwaniu najrzadszych i najmocniejszych stworów. Ponadto opłaca sią łapać te same Pokemony, gdyż za konkretny gatunek stworka otrzymujemy cukierki niezbędne do... ewolucji! Na to czeka się dość długo, lecz uzyskamy drugą przemianę o dużo wyższym combat power! Obecnie udało mi się zgromadzić dwa stworki o sile ponad 1000, co pozwala stawiać czoła wrogiemu zespołu R, a także przejmować niektóre gymy.

Doskonale prezentuje się również sam mechanizm łapania Pokemonów. Te o niskim combat power można złapać bez problemu. Natomiast do tych mocniejszych potrzebujemy lepszych pokeballi, czyli greatballi. Liczy się również technika rzutu. Gdy wypuścisz pokeballa idealnie, pojawi się napis GREAT, a szanse Pokemona na ucieczkę są wtedy dużo mniejsze. To kolejny zręcznościowy aspekt gry.
The mechanism of catching Pokemons itself is also excellent. Those with low combat power can be caught without any problem. On the other hand, for the more powerful ones we need better Pokeballs, or greatballs. The throwing technique also matters. When you release a Pokeball perfectly, GREAT will appear, and the Pokemon's chances of escaping are then much lower. This is another skill aspect of the game.
Liczba pokeballi jest ograniczona, więc należy udawać się po nowe, klikając w pokestop. Ja mam to szczęście, że znajduje się on tuż pod domem, przy korcie tenisowym, więc nie muszę nawet wychodzić. Pokestop regeneruje się po 5 minutach, ponownie zapewniając pokeballe. Jednak najlepiej po prostu przespacerować się po mieście/osiedlu i zebrać sporo bonusów na raz. Dla leniwych przeznaczono mikropłatności, lecz na 19 poziomie nie dostrzegłem mechaniki pay to win. Pokestopów jest mnóśtwo. Może być to fontanna, drzewo, szkoła, boisko czy żabka.

Ta gra to prawdziwy majstersztyk dla miłośników zbieractwa. Do znalezienia mamy aż 767 Pokemonów i nie wydaje mi się, żebym złapał je wszystkie. Podobno niektóre występują wyłącznie w konkretnych miejscach świata. Nie wiem, ile w tym prawdy, lecz zjawisko pokemonowej turystyki istnieje. Ponadto można znaleźć bardzo rzadkie, legendarne stworki. Trudno nie wspomnieć, jak wielki kunszt twórcy włożyli w tę produkcję. Musieli faktycznie przeanalizować każdy region na świecie, wyodrębniając ciekawe miejsca jako gymy i pokestopy i nie sądzę, aby była to zasługa wyłącznie algorytmów. Ktoś faktycznie siedział nad mapą i pracował. Zdecydowanie polecam młodszym i starszym, a szczegółnie tym, którzy oglądali kiedyś Pokemony w TV. No i zapraszam do wspólnej zabawy ;)

Apparently, some are only found in specific parts of the world. I don't know how much truth there is in this, but the phenomenon of Pokemon tourism exists. In addition, very rare, legendary creatures can be found. It's hard not to mention how much craftsmanship the developers put into this production. They had to actually analyze every region in the world, singling out interesting places as gyms and pokestops, and I don't think this was due solely to algorithms. Someone actually sat on the map and worked. I definitely recommend it to young and old, and especially to those who used to watch Pokemons on TV. And I invite you to join in the fun ;)
