EOS delegation (staking)
The EOS utility token is the latest Delegated Proof of Stake (DPOS) cryptocurrency developed by Dan Larimer and block.one and is considered to be the first blockchain to allow for commercial usage. After the successful go-live of EOS in June 2018, we see the first dApps emerging and providing real world usage to users worldwide. Delegationhub.com aims to connect the different stakeholders of the EOS ecosystem and thereby enable growth of the community.
- Delegation / staking mechanism: The EOS DPOS algorithm allows you to delegate (stake) your EOS tokens to a 2nd party while maintaining full control and ownership of your tokens. The unstaking period is 3 days (incorporated in the blockchain).
- Scatter integration: We have decided to use Scatter as the interaction layer to our platform. Full control remains with you.
- Database approach: In order to accommodate for the frequent changes in this infancy stage of the EOS platform, we have decided to use a traditional database approach to facilitate the delegation market. This will provide the highest stability and therefore, highest user benefit which is most relevant for us. As the EOS platform matures, we will continuously reevaluate the technical implementation approach, also considering facilitation via smart contract.

Our EOS delegation market offers you two products as of now. Delegation Hub is a fully self-funded community initiative so we are relying on a marginal fee to cover our operational cost and support further platform development.
1. CPU delegation
- The Central Processing Unit (CPU) carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control operations
- Delegated (staked) EOS tokens represent a proportional share in the overall CPU available of the network
- Fee structure: Delegatee: 0%, Delegator: 2%
2. Net bandwidth delegation
- Net bandwidth is the amount of data that can be transmitted in a fixed amount of time
- Delegated (staked) EOS tokens represent a proportional share in the overall net bandwidth available of the network
- Fee structure: Delegatee: 0%, Delegator: 2%

One question, to delegate my EOS, does it have to be on CPU and Bandwith, or it has to be already unstaked on my EOS account?

In order to delegate = stake your EOS it needs to be in an unstaked state. You can then stake it to yourself or to somebody else via delegationhub.com.

Thanks for this clarification! I was mentally thinking of Steem needing to be powered up to delegate so thought staked EOS was the same. I just played around with your service and was unsure why my order wasn’t processing. Now I know. Will try again in 3 days!

If I delegate my eos to someone else I maintain my voting rights correct?

Thanks for sharing. I haven't really been keeping up with EOS, but I have tokens. I have only seen sites like eosflare for tracking my account - is there something like an equivalent of steemit.com for EOS that acts like an account hub/wallet? What D-Apps are on the horizon?

So I downloaded eos-voter but I need to get my private active key to use it. I activated my Eos tokens via Exodus wallet and am pretty sure I've never seen a password for the account (although I do have the account username for EOS). How can I find the Owner/Active private keys?
I think in Exodus active/owner private keys are the same thing. Go to the developer menu in Exodus and there you can see your EOS private keys.
To actually have active and owner key separated you have to change permissions. Maybe it would be easier and more safe to put some EOS to a newly created account and just play with it a little bit to not screw up the main account. :)

Maybe so, I am in the process of creating a new EOS account but the site I have found to do that is charging around $6 USD. I'll come back and finish this tomorrow after some sleepz. Thanks for your help.
It's actually much cheaper if you already have an EOS account. You can use simplEOS wallet to create a new account by yourself. The only thing you have to pay for is RAM, which should be like 0.5 EOS.
If you will download simplEOS you can send me the code, which it lets you create and I can make that account for you. No problem whatsoever.

What about https://www.myeoskit.com ? It's not just a wallet, but also offers features such as staking, buying RAM, transfering tokens and much more. To use myeoskit you need Scatter.

What I suggest you to try is a game called https://eosknights.io/ it's just an idle game, but very nice showcase of the speed of EOS blockchain and also why games on the ETH blockchain just doesn't work.
