Here Have a few Cubic Inches of my Breath. Balloons... Why?

For today's deep thought of Ramblin mirth, we are going to do a think about Balloons. Yes, you know what they are... latex containers that we fill with our breath then give to someone to celebrate something.

We have to thank Michael Faraday, who is the father of the Moden balloon (Invented in 1824). As a way to control gasses for experiments.

This article, however, was Bill Murry inspired! (FYI: He is one of my spirit animals)

Balloons are so weird... "Happy birthday, here's a plastic sack of my breath."

But it got me thinking... Why do we do this? Who was like, yes! Let's give someone else our breath.

I can think, however, that it is a very kind gesture. Breath is what keeps us all alive, right? So it's somewhat sweet to be like here are five puffs of air ... Slightly used, and it may have COVID in it, best not inhale but like a Birthday card, put on your wall till it loses meaning, then toss it out when no one is looking.

Balloons. Little biological words, a captured moment of our exhaled carbon, some spit, genetic matter, and bad breath. All packaged up in a colorful shell to give to your loved ones. WOot?

Thinking like this, I may be less than thrilled to receive one.

I was reading this Wiki page on the topic.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balloon#History

To quote: " The Aztecs inflated cat intestines to make shapes to present as sacrifices to the gods." OMG. Well, it would be exciting, I guess, to receive intestines filled with air...

Anywho... Balloons, next time you give one or get one... think of all the cats that died to bring you that colorful ball of air. Life... it's strange.

D.Buzz over and out.

🤔🤔🤔 an interesting take on balloons.. I've never been too fond of them 😝😝😝 happy weekend!

I have voted for @dbuzz as witness a few hours before your post.

By the way, I noticed the "peaked.com" link at the end of your article, though it still brings us to the correct website PeakD.com.

Abstractly, balloons resemble flowers, particularly when they are bunched up.

On that tangent, when you give flowers, you are giving a plant's genitals.
