Contract opening has been very successful and we have created quite the excitement within the HIVE community. This has brought new pilots to eXode and has also created much discussion about the future and which path will to take to finish up the pre-sale of Alpha packs.
A reminder: One of the next phases of development, in @exodegame, is the opening of the Aplha Booster Packs event. This event will be coinciding with the final increase in the cost of eXode assets available for purchase from our shop, ultimately ending the presale event.
The booster pack opening event will take place near the end of the month and there are a few details that need to be discussed as well as addressed.
End to the Pre-sale:
As always things around eXode are moving very fast and as we near the end of the pre-sale, there is some final decision making to be done about pricing and the burning of leftover (pre-sale) assets .
eXode strives to be open and transparent; therefore, we would like to propose a community vote on how to decide the best way moving forward, in regards to the final price increase and the burning of the remaining contracts and specialty packs available in the eXode shop.
We have made the following announcements about this topic:
- After booster opening (48 hours after) is the final price increase and end of pre-sale.
- After a two week duration of the final price increase, all remaining “Glorious 8“ assets are burnt.
- All Glorious 8 assets are burnt at the end of May.
The third option does not align with the date of the first two and it doesn’t allow for much time to purchase any more Glorious 8 assets.
There are concerns in the community that this is not enough time to purchase assets from the Glorious 8 and also is no longer in line with (1) and (2), due to the later date of the contract opening last week.
To offer the best experience, we wish to offer a vote to the community.
We propose the following vote between two options:
Option (A):
The Glorious 8 assets (all 3 contracts, all 3 escorts/launch bonuses, all 2 special crew), will all be burned at the end of the month, more accurately: 48 hours after the booster pack opening event.Option (B):
Price increase occurs 48 hours after booster pack opening. The Glorious 8 will be burned only 2 weeks after that final price increase, giving a few more weeks for players.
To vote, you can head to our Discord in our exode-polls section. To discuss your vote, you can use the exode-polls-discussion channel. We like to use Discord for this because we use it for player feedback.
The vote will close at 1200 hours UTC Wednesday May, 27th.
Steem as a way to purchase eXode assets
Following the end of our pre-sale @exodegame will no longer be accepting Steem tokens as payment. This will coincide with the end of the 4 week power downs of Steem that began after the latest Steem Hardfork. This should allow people to make final purchases with their Steem, then it will no longer be accepted by @exodgame.
A New Origin is Revealed!
Now time for a little game talk!
You will need lots of cargo to start your new colony after evacuation, this newly released origin seems to be quite handy at that. Combine him with a cargo ship and you might have a strong foothold on galactic trade.

I think B, I know a lot of people on Hive who haven't even checked out the game yet, more time sounds like a good idea.
Are you accepting Steem again in the shop...>? Last time I checked it was frozen as an option.

We froze it when exchanges froze it in the middle of last HF.
We allow STEEM coins as payment again, and I think it coincides with STEEM last power downs too. Acceptation of STEEM coins is going through its last weeks.

Good idea to keep Steem open, I think ATM a lot of people are looking for routes out for their Steem!

Just wondering what will be offered to "steam players" when we release the game on steam.
