What Music Can Be Shared

Over the last several years, I have often written song parodies to express the suffering of families stalked by the Child Protective Services. I have drawn from rock, classical, religious, seasonal and other musical motifs. Yet, like the repeating motif of a violin, a question persists. How do we express the emotions these families go through...with a song?

Would it take an entire symphony scored? Would we hear the opening of a lone clarinet or a descending of notes creating that teardrop? Would we feel the rage of violins or the endless yearning from an electric guitar? Would we hear a choir of trained voices and haunting lyrics? What words would be chosen?

Would it even be a music we would recognize?

To Heal The Helpless and Hurting

How do you express pain and human suffering through music? Is there a melody dissonant and bizarre enough to capture the emotion? What would be the music of lost dreams, psychological baggage of forced sex trafficking? What about the anger, depression, guilt, hurt, loneliness, hopelessness and shame? How would the rigged courts play out... Or that opening phone call from the CPS? Or the unexpected home inspection.

Although, sadly, a Broadway production/opera may help educate the public... the task may be impossible. Why would that be? Surely there is someone out there up for the score and libretto.

When The Audience is Apathetically Deaf

We live in an apathetic world, void of real listening skills. The general public...er audience, is disconnected from the pain and suffering. Many do not know the Orwellian agenda of the CPS. They are not aware that social workers are paid bonuses to destroy families, steal children and sell babies. They are unaware that the CPS plays a major role in child trafficking. The average Joe does not know of the nightmares, tears, lost dreams and lifelong baggage they drag.

The apathetic crowd is also self-absorbed in their own lives. Some are fearful and choose not to oppose the tyrannical big brother government. They may even believe it is a conspiracy theory. Yet, the music plays to a deaf audience... or so it seems.

I am reminded of the three movement composition by American experimental composer, John Cage (1912 - 1992), entitled 4:33. This music was written in 1952, and instructed the performers to sit quietly and not play their instruments during that time. Mr. Cage was making the statement that silence is music.

There May Be Silence

I am convinced that no song, or arrangement of instruments can truly express the hell that families go through. Even if we had Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, and all the greats through history... it would not be enough. For the emotion would be too great and the apathy too silencing.

But The Music Awakens to Life Joyously!

I am also convinced that when one tear is heard, one child is saved from pain, one innocent is spared from sex trafficking, one parents prayers are answered... a music like none other sounds gloriously throughout the heavens. Yes, I believe a joyous music that only can be written by the angels rings though heaven.. When the unaware become awake and choose to help the stolen children it is a precious and glorious moment.

The world is waking up. There are folks who are making a difference together. They see the tears, hurt, misery and needless suffering and they choose to help. Pro-family groups are forming to defend the innocent. Folks like @familyprotection here on Hive work to be that voice to the helpless. They know that silence and apathy are useless and protection and justice are the answers. I would encourage you to support @familyprotection as they bring freedom to the suffering and a joyful music to their heart.

When We Choose to Be the Voices

We are the instruments. We are the music. We are the voices who can speak for the hurting. But we must chose to awaken and rid ourselves of apathy. Only then... can their music be heard.
