When They Steal Our Young - Manilow Music Parody And Commentary - Enjoy with Troy!

I offer to you an original music parody, based on Barry Manilow's song, When October Goes. My parodied lyrics are entitled. When They Steal Our Young, in support of families and children. This Mercer/Manilow song has long been dear to me. With the simple piano/vocal arrangement, this seasonal sentiment tugs at the heart. Perhaps the parody will speak to you as well. Take a listen to the words and music, and I will return with a commentary.

When They Steal Our Young

And when they steal our young
There is an endless cry.
Of shattered innocence
And wasted lives that die.

The battered broken home
That's stalked with dirty lies.
When will they be set free?
Ignorant apathy.

And when they steal our young,
The same old greed appears
Ripped from their mother's arms
Bagged with painful years

Kidnapped and sold each day
Enchained in helpless tears.
Oh how I hate to see them steal our young.

Instrumental

And when they steal our young,
The same old greed appears
Ripped from their mother's arms
Bagged with painful years

Kidnapped and sold each day
Enchained in helpless tears.
Oh how I hate to see them steal our young.

We must protect them and defend
Each hurting helpless child... deserves a friend
I hate to see them steal our young.

The longing and yearning for a happier, more simple time. A season of childhood innocence and love. But now there is the emptiness and loneliness, in the haunting reminder of the parting of that treasured one. It is in the cold rain and harsh weathered snow, the withered foliage and barren trees. and the hearts of the forsaken...when October goes.

But do we hear the forsaken when they steal our young?

In a few short minutes innocence is shattered, leaving filthy baggage and an endless cry for help. The numb, withered souls are shackled forever in the chains of our selfish apathy and ignorance.

It begins with a fat commission and a lead. Child Protective Services is a for - profit governmental agency that is incentivized to created broken homes and steal children. Orwellian by design, they stalk families and gather their agenda from community reporters. That is, folks like teachers, nurses, clergy, doctors, and even leads from nosey neighbors.

And then come the phone call or knock at the door.

And like the cold rain or barren trees, parents are tortured with chilling questions and interrogation from a money hungry case worker. Intimidation, word manipulation and surprise only brings tears to the eyes of helpless families. They never asked for this tyranny and trauma. But sprinkled in lies and filth, these little ones are forever ripped from their mother's arms.

They may receive temporary visiting rites, if they are lucky, but it eventually goes to court. The judges are compromised and the lawyers are bought off by the government, so their hard earned money is wasted on a fickle judicial system. And innocence is forever shattered,

And just like a slaughtered animal, these little ones are bagged up and sent out to a foster home. Siblings are separated from one another. Strangers are paid to be their custodial guardian, too often, in homes that only provide angry voices and violent hands. These babies are shuffled from home to home, ending up on the streets, in prison, or a graveyard. Many are peddled for sex or pedophilia. But hey, there is big money is the child trafficking trade, surpassing illegal drugs and guns combined. The addiction to money means more than the welfare of human life.

But as these kids are being bagged and shipped, what else is being bagged with them?

When the CPS storms in, a whirlwind of psychological and emotional trauma enters too. Feelings of guilt, anger, helplessness, hopelessness, depression, desperation, abandonment, numb, worthlessness and even suicide follows them. It can lead to a downward spiral, a lifelong winter of discontent. And just like the passage from 'When October Goes'...

I should be over now I know, it doesn't matter much... how old I grow.

The CPS induced trauma lasts a lifetime. You never get over the harsh and greedy ruthlessness of shattered innocence and emotional death of those you love. Weathered with pain and the tears of tragedy, these scar and wounds will never heal. But our love can be the suave of prevention and protection. That is why we must be their friend as the parody expresses.

We must protect them and defend
Each hurting helpless child... deserves a friend

When we help defend and protect families and the children, we keep them safe from the emotional spiraled whirlwind of the storms of filth and corruption. Together we can form a zero tolerance, global non-compliance to child trafficking and CPS theft.

Are you tired of apathy and seeing the hurt in their eyes? Can you hear their cry?

Every hurting child and parent, deserves a friend. Will you be that friend? Do you hate to see them steal our young?

Stealing childhood (young) is a crime against humanity. However, I would not put it in the context of October, which reflects nature in its wonderful cycles.

I really like the songs that make us happy in life, this is a tool that accompanies our lives for a while and is very attractive to any program that has a great song.
