Apalagi daya tahan komoditas ini relatif singkat sehingga bila terjadi penumpukan akan terjadi pembusukan. Hal tersebut tentu akan merugikan petani yang membudidayakan tanaman ini. Untuk melakukan hal tersebut tentu dibutuhkan peran pemerintah dalam mengedukasi para petani yang menanam bawang merah.
