Wraithvine and hir companions come to a large clearing where a person and their small makeshift family consisting of multiple races are attempting to build an entire hospital by themselves. Aid is offered to ensure this place and dream of healing becomes reality. -- Anon Guest
A Druid, a Doctor and a Dedicat walked into a ruined Yggdrasi house-tree... there was also a devilborn stripling and assorted halfbreds, so it automatically lost potential for levity. Besides, that was three months ago. The band of misfits, no two the same species, saw the potential and had been doing what they could to fix it up.
Half of their work had been in regrowing the damage, the other half was in building essential workshops.
Which was how Wraithvine found them, trying to assist too many people who had been fleeing the catastrophe. There was simply not enough. Not enough helpers, not enough supplies, not enough shelter, though they certainly tried.
Wraithvine pitched in, of course. Ze had been helping however ze could along the way. And once ze saw the problem, there was extra help ze could provide - by deploying hir portable wizard tower. It had been created to always have enough space for all its visitors.
The Druid among them could help with the herb garden, while Wraithvine could help with the Yggdrasi.
It wasn't that the ancient structure was fighting the Harukh Druid. It just needed an Elf's touch to wake it back up. Which was why Wraithvine journeyed into the cellar-roots to find its guarded heart.
A song. A prayer. A plea to welcome all who came, and give them shelter. You are a hospital, now. You cannot refuse those in need. By the laws of Lenus and Freja together.
The heart of the tree began to beat again as it accepted the charge of generosity and welcome. It would be much more amenable to the Druid Kazvu's encouragement, henceforth.
Then ze went upstairs and took over brewing the hospital's stew. All the better to free up other hands for more needed work with the patients.
Ze would need a long rest before ze could do any more spellwork, after all.

The instant Wraithvine told the heartwood it was a hospital, calling on Lenus and Freja, that was the beat that sold it for me. Turning consent and welcome into literal infrastructure feels so right here. And the travel tower that always finds space for one more made me grin; logistics magic is the best kind. Will we get a peek at how the awakened tree and the herb beds change the day-to-day for patients?
