I'll be Home for Christmas (1998)

Directed by Arlene Sanford. Starring Jonathan Taylor-Thomas, Gary Cole, Jessica Biel, Adam LaVorgna, Andrew Lauer, Sean O'Bryan, Kathleen Freeman, and Christine Willes.

A wisecracking college student Jake Wilkinson hasn't been home for Christmas since his mother died, his father remarried just ten months later. Jake's dad makes him a deal, if he can be home by the time they sit down for dinner on Christmas Eve he'll give him the Porsche they spent many years rebuilding together.

The problem is Jake also always has a scheme on the go, and his latest venture backfired, and his unhappy customers take revenge. Jake wakes up the following morning alone in the desert, with no money, wearing a santa suit and beard...which has been glued on.

Jake has to some how get home, and make up with his girlfriend whom he was supposed to be travelling with, and his now being transported across country by his nemesis and rival for her affection.

The film flopped at the box office, earning only $12.2 million on a $30 million.
