That’s a hard one, after checking some lists of “deep” movies, I still couldn’t find the answer. And actually I finally found one while writing this.

So my pick for today is Germany Year 0, directed by Roberto Rossellini in 1948. This is one of the best neorealist films, it takes place in a destroyed Germany and I won’t say anything else, do yourself a favor and go watch this awesome movie, I don’t want to ruin it for you and if I keep writing about it, I’ll probably build it up too much.
Anyway after watching this move it made me realize even more how lucky we are to live in peaceful times.
